Died: December 21, 2002
Services: Memorial Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, December 26, 2002 at the Warner Chapel in Spencer, Iowa. Rev. Tonna Parson will officiate. Burial will be at Dickens Cemetery in Dickens, Iowa. A military service will be conducted by Glen Pedersen Post #1 - American Legion of Spencer, Iowa following the graveside services.
Visitation: The body was cremated, there will be no viewing or visitation.
Joy Arnold Bisaillon, the son of Ted Cliford and Lila Mae Bisaillon, was born September 13, 1927 in Dickens, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in rural Dickens, Iowa, where he received his education, in Sioux Township country schools. Following his schooling. Joy farmed with his uncle. On March 5, 1950, Joy married Rhodabell Carlene Giedl in Worthington, MN. He entered the military and served with the U.S. Army from January 1952 until his honorable discharge in December of 1953. During his military career, he served as a baker, and was stationed with the 12th Tank Company in Anchorage, Alaska. Joy was employed as a precision mechanic for 10 years. He was employed with Spencer Schools and Eaton Corporation. His last employment was Cutty's of Okoboji, where he worked until his recent retirement. Joy was a family man. He was a wonderful husband and best friend to his wife, Rhody. He enjoyed woodworking, keeping up on his own auto repairs, and spending time with his friends. Joy did many things for his parents, children and grandchildren, and was dearly loved by them. Joy passed away at his home on Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his father in 1985 and his wife, Rhodabelle on March 24, 2000. He is survived by one son and his wife Kenneth and Becky Bisaillon of Greenville, IA; one daughter and her husband, Jo and Paul McQuirk of Terril, IA; five grandchildren, one great grandson; his mother Lila Bisaillon of Lakefield, MN; three sisters; Donna Jansen of Sedona, AZ, Joyce Norton of Sanborn, IA and Jean Carpenter of Oceanside, CA; other relatives and friends.
