Hi there! I suppose I should introduce myself here a little...My name is Mike Bissell, and if you're here, then you either know me, or got here through a link on another page; probably from my friends Maggie and Vanessa Irvine's pages, from over in England... Well, I live in Scarborough, Maine (that's in the USA, for those of you who might not know)...with my new wife Lindsey, our new son Ryland, and our two cats, Zaphod Beeblebrox and Sebastian. You'll see more of them further down the page. I work for UNUM Provident Insurance Company, one of the biggest insurance companies in the world. I've been there since January of 2001... Well, I have a lot of interests, including computers, bicycling, Sci-Fi, comics, trading cards (the Non-Sports variety), movies and music...which is a lot of hobbies, but I try to do each in moderation. :) Well, that's about it for now, we'll see if I hold up to my own expectations and actually update the site once in a while...but as I say, 'Expectations are Pre-Meditated Resentments'.
Lindsey Besaw...my sweetie, and best friend. And as of April 9, 2004, the mother of my son! Ryland is the best present you've ever given me, Linds...love you, honey!!

Just starting a new page, for more pics . . . try clicking on the link below and see if I've done anything to it yet!
Ryland Christopher Bissell Ryland was born April 9, 2004, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine at 7:18 a.m. after a 12 and a half hour labor (from first contraction to his birth). I was there to witness the birth, as was Lindsey's mom, Linda. These two pictures are from when he was still in the hospital (so he's still a little blotchy and has a bit of a cone-head). Lindsey took the bigger picture of Ryland while he was in his swing at home about a week later - he looked much better by then! There is quite a bit of red in his hair thus far...we're assuming that he's going to be a redhead like his mom!
Here's our little guy just two days old...Easter Sunday, 2004, taking a nap (big surprise!!) in his playpen at home. Man, what a life...eat, sleep, pee and poop. Sometimes more than one thing at once, too!
