CLOTHING FOR A MEDIEVAL WEDDING
The Bride, and Wedding party along with the Bride's mother have opted to make the dresses. We have purchaed various patterns for this. If you are planning on making your garments and are concered about WHICH one's the wedding party is using just contact the bride and she can guide you through it.
For a quick easy fix to costuming for a Medieval wedding there are two ways. The first is more permanant then the second. You can either BUY your costume, or you can rent one.
Buying a Costume:

There are several ways to go about buying a costume. Since we are getting married in October Halloween Costumes should be coming out. They are a possibility but may be more tacky looking, some of them though are really nice. That is all up to the person who buys it as to what they wish to wear.

The Other option is stores or online. As there are not many stores that tailor to specific garments one may try a costume shop. The online sites are wonderful though. They will offer the best costumes. The ones you may want to try, which myself and others have found are very good and reliable are as follows.
Ren Store We are getting all the men's garments from this site
Hollywood Costumes Click on their Medieval Section
Buy Costumes
By The Sword They are a bit more expensive but they can at least help with ideas
You could also go to a Ren Faire- Such as the Sterling Renaissance Festival in Sterling NY- for Garments but they are likely to be more expensive.
The other Alternative is to rent a costume. Costume shops such as
Dougherty's on Erie Blvd. In Syracuse
often have a large selection of costumes for both men and women. Most of the time they will let you pick them up Friday night for a Saturday wedding.
