The Haunted House
The Haunted House, one of my most favourite rides in the park! Not so much because of the ride itself, but because of the awesome theming of the area! It feels really spooky outside of the ride, with the queue line taking the form of a grave yard, with lots of different humourous gravestones, many of which you may never see twice because the queue line has the ability to change with many different gates stopping you from going into different bits! You enter the house with many different optical illusions surrounding you, such as spooky paintings of Dracula, Jack the Ripper and people with eyes that follow you wherever you go! There is a fireplace which a face appears in, a model of a little girl in a doll house but the girl seems to be alive! Signs that read 'Wherever you are in the Haunted House, someone is watching you' add to the ride experience. You board coffins that are big enough for 4 to 6 people and then you embark on a journey with various things jumping out at you and dropping down at you. You get to a section where there is a room that seems to be spinning and it really does make you feel, apart from the fact that you are not falling out and your body is free to move, as if you are upside down! Your photograph is taken at a very bad time I must say, as there seems to be nothing to make you scream at all at the point where the photograph is taken. You get out and enter the photograph purchasing stall, and then you walk through into 'Something Sinister' - a shop which seems to specialise in 'Smiffys practical jokes'.

Overall - 8.5/10 - A very good ride to pass the time as queues seem to be very small! You must ride ASAP as it is being closed down at the end of the season for redevelopment, and you may never get to see it as good as this again ;-)
