Air
Air is Alton Towers latest addition to the park for 2002, and in my view, is the best rollercoaster to have ever seen the light of day at Alton Towers! I would even say it beats Thunder Looper! I love it! It cost just under 12 million pounds to build, was designed by god (A.K.A John Wardley), and built by the fantastic B+M! You start off by sitting in a seat underneath the track, you get locked in, and then it goes up into the flying position for which it stays for the rest of the ride! You go through a concrete hollow, and then start to go up the lift hill! Halfway up the lift hill the train jerks to almost a halt and continues up the lift hill very slowly! It reaches the top where it starts to descend slowly, and then turns a corner which is still in the drop, and then begins to swoop up, which is where you first feel you are really flying! Your ride photograph is taken, and then you continue the coasters various inversions, rolls, corners and drops! Then you come back into the station, no doubt smiling, and you see the smiling faces of the people who are to board after you!

All in all, an excellent ride!

Overall - 10/10 - Best in the park - ride at all costs!
