- Satellite is the band's 6th album, but only their 2nd under Atlantic records.
- All the members are from a place the band calls "Southtown". (In San Diego)
- The band was originally formed by drumer, Wuv and Ex-Guitarist, Marcos.
- The band signed with Atlantic Records in 1999.
- Before signing with Atlantic, they were signed with Rescue Records, their independent label.
- Brown, Snuff the Punk, Live and Warriors were all released with Rescue Records.
- The Fundamental Elements of Southtown and Satellite were both released under Atlantic Records.

Formed in 1992. Marcos and Wuv were given suggestions from their friends that they should jam some time. Meanwhile Wuv's cousin Sonny was coping with the sudden death of his mother. So, to cheer him up a bit Wuv asked him if he wanted to sing while they were practicing. So then there were three. After doing a few little shows in clubs and such, the final piece of the P.O.D. puzzle was in place when bassist Traa joined the group in 1993. P.O.D. was complete.
Recently, Marcos left the band to pursue his own dreams. His replacement: P.O.D.'s long time friend Jason Truby.
