| Uros floats in beautiful Lago Titicaca near Puno, Peru at an elevation of over 12000 feet. |
| The island is made entirely of reeds and cane. as the cane on the bottom the island decays due to it's contact with the water, it is replaced by adding new cane on the top of the island. |
