Tired of all that Indian food? Ready for something good and American? Ready to visit a MacDonalds?

Well, its not the USA! Don't count on eating any dead cows in this, the land of the holy cow! Beef is most definitely off the menu. But MacDonalds does a truly incredible job of adapting to the unique ways of any country they open a restaurant in and adopting the culture of whatever country they open a restaurant in.

So, if you haven't already, open the attached 'MacDonalds' file.

Notice the little red and green dots by different meals on the menu? Green means its a veg meal. Red is for non veg. You know, green . . . . . growing, living, healthy plants. And red . . . . well . . . . blood!

And check out those prices! In case http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic is not amongst your usual visits on the web, there are about 45 Rs (Rupies, the national monetary unit of India) to each US dollar. Do the math! There are some sweet deals on this menu!

And notice the phone number in case you want home delivery. Which of course, MacDonalds does offer here. But those last three digits. '666'. Where have I seen them before?

And by the way - I did not eat at MacDonalds here - I'm enjoying the great veg Indian food way too much for that! I only went in to see if their garbage cans had Thank you in Hindi on them. Some of you know of my collection of worldwide MacDonalds garbage can pictures. Amongst MacDonald's ways of adapting to their host countries is their habit of translating Thank You into the local language and placing on that garbage can. Well, sadly, all there was on their garbage cans here was a picture of a hand throwing trash away. So I guess I'll have to be happy with my current trash can foto collection! I've attached it too, just in case such oddities interest you too.

Happy eating!

Oh, I almost forgot. I've started updating the old website that I had started in the Paraguayan years. Now you can click through for some of my Indian adventures that haven't made it as newsletters. Like the recent rafting trip in the Himalayas on the Alaknanda and Ganges rivers. The address is http://www.geocities.com/mike_perry_80521/Index.html
