Florida

Florida is first and foremost a tourist state. There are so many things to do and places to visit, that if you visit once, you will probably want to come back and visit again. Orlando with Disney and Universal Studios is the primary destination of most visitors, but we always stay at my parents vacation house in Cape Coral. Beaches are very close, with a nice, smaller one in Cape Coral. The more famous Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel Island are 15 minute drives from the house. There are fun things to do like go to the flea market in Ft. Myers on Sundays, visit Edison's house, shop at the outlet malls, go to Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins spring training baseball games, fish off piers, or rent a boat and spend time in the gulf. You really could spend 2 weeks in Cape Coral and never be bored.
