Do you want be made whole? |

|
|
|
|
(John 5:5)And a certain man was there, who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. |
|
|
|
(John 5:6)When Jesus saw him lying, and knowing that he had spent much time, He said to him, Do you desire to be made whole? |
|
|
|
(John 5:7)The infirm man answered Him, Sir, when the water is troubled; I have no one to put me into the pool. But while I am coming, another steps down before me. |
|
|
|
(John 5:8)Jesus says to him, Rise, take up your bed and walk. |
|
|
|
(John 5:9) And immediately the man was made whole
and took up his bed and walked. And it was a Sabbath on that day (MKJV). |

|
There are many of us that suffer from infirmities, domestic, problems, financial problems, doubt, fear or whatever. The longer the situation the harder it seems to hold on to our faith believing that one day things will change for the best. In the above scripture this man had suffered for 38 years a very long time. The number 38 represents bondage. The man in our text had been bound by both his circumstances and his environment for 38 years. Many of us are bound by various things in life, however God wants to set us free. |

Jesus asks the man if he desired to be healed his response was to explain why he had not been healed prior to Jesus coming on the scene. Sometimes we suffer so long that we get accustomed to our plight even to the point of acceptance. Things go on for so long that we lose all faith and hope our plight appears to be endless. However God does not want us to suffer he wants our suffering to come to an end.
Be encouraged and realize that no matter what you are going through Jesus through the Holy Spirit still makes house calls. Jesus response to this man's dilemma according to the Amplified Bible was to simply say Get Up!! God is saying that to some of you right now. No matter what you have been going through or facing the Holy Spirit is telling you to Get Up. For others your time may not have come just yet. Hold onto your faith and stay mentally sharp, don't let situations wear you down. Keep believing that Jesus is going to stop by through his spirit and one day simply tell you, to Get Up One day your burden will be lifted keep hoping, praying, and fighting!!!
