I am a 1974 graduate Of Mishawaka High School and
a life-long resident of the city. After graduating from
MHS I attended Purdue University in West LaFayette
Indiana, graduating with a bachelors degree in United
States History, Physical Education and Health in 1978.
My first teaching experience began in 1978 at
NorthWood High School /Wakarusa Middle School
in Nappanee/Wakarusa Indiana. While there I taught
United States History, Career Education, World History
and Geography. I also coached 8th grade football,
freshman wrestling , 7th grade boys basketball and was
head boys golf coach. My 8th grade football teams
had a won/loss record of 47 - 17 and the last year as
golf coach the team was 23 - 7.

In 1987 I was able to come back the MHS and am now
in my 18th year here. I have taught Health I & II,
Physical Education and United States History while at
MHS. My coaching experience includes 2 years at John  Young Middle School as 8th grade football coach, 3
years as the MHS varsity quarterbacks and running
backs coach and 16 years with girl's basketball, the last
14 as the head coach. As the head coach our teams
won 3 sectional titles and one Northern Indiana
Conference Championship. Overall the teams won 144
games over the 14 years.

I am married (Lori) and will celebrate our 25th annyversary
this June. We have a son Scott a MHS grad who is 22
and a daughter Lindsay, also a MHS grad who is 19.
Both are currently enrolled in college.
