Hello! I was reading your site about north Florida and just wanted to let you know that St. Augustine is not the oldest town. Oldest settled, yes. Oldest, no. I'm from Pensacola and get offend when I see that. It's not your fault its all the books they just don't know. You see Pensacola was settled long before St. Augustine, but there was a hurricane that completely destroyed the town. They rebuilt, but St. Augustine was then given the title oldest. Pensacola has 3 forts one which sank(another hurricane) and a lighthouse. They also have three navy bases(my dad was in the navy). It is also the home to the Blue Angels!!! I hope I didn't offend you by writing I just wanted to let you know.

THANKS, Katie

Disney's MGM Studios

Disney's MGM Studios is a working film and production studio. Once you enter the gates, you enter a world where you can take pictures of the Chinese Theatre, Plumet thirteen stories into the Twilight Zone again and again, or ride a superstretch limo to an Aerosmith concert. Lets get started...

You enter the park seeing old fashioned buildings that look like their from the 40s. There are old cars parked on the street, and beyond that you see the Chinese Theatre...Wait, let me correct myself, you did see the chinese theatre. There is a huge Sorcerer Mickey hat blocking your view, but if you walk behind the hat, you will see the chinese theatre. Inside of it, is the Great Movie Ride. In here, you can ride the Movies.

YOu sit in large cars with many other people. You have a guide up front that gives you explanations of what is going on. First, you pass by singing in the rain, then Marry Poppins, then, you go into the Gangster movie room. Depening on what car you are in, you might stop, or you might go through into the next room. IF you stop, some gangsters start shooting at each other. Then, a live actor gangster comes out and kicks your guide out of the car, and inside of a building. Then the police show up, and the gangster steals your car.

Now, lets say you didn't stop in this room. If you didn't you would go into the next room and stop, which is the Coyboy movie room. Once again, some coyboys are shooting at each other, and a live actor robs the "bank." Your guide runs inside, and the coyboy throughs a stick of dinimite into the bank window. A few seconds later, it bursts into flames, the sherrif shows up, and you get out of there, with the cowboy.

This is where both cars see the same thing again. You now enter into an alien spaceship, and go through very slowly. An anouncement comes on that Aliens have invaded the ship, and it will self dustruct in 1 minute. As you are going through, an alien from the movie Alien pops out and spits on you. Then, as you go again, another one, pops out behind your car, and you are out of the room.

This room is the Indiana Jones room. You see Indiana Jones, and his assistant carrying the lost arc through a room filled with snakes. In the next room, there is a high pedistal with a huge ruby inbeded in the wall. Your host for the time being, since their either a bank robber or a Gangster, cant resist and try to steal it. A person in a white cloak warns them about a curse, and they ignore it. As soon as they touch the crystal, they dissaper in a puff of smoke to be replaced by a skeliton. The person in the cloak turns out to be your guide, and you contuine on the tour.

You go through assorted rooms after this like Horror Movies, Tarzan, Casablanca, Fantasia, and the Wizard of Oz. Then you move into the final room, where you see the grand finale, which is just a bunch of movie clips. You then exit the ride.

After you enter the park and go on this ride, you can go in many directions. There is sunset strip, which is where going next, New York Street, The Backlot, and a few others. Lets move on to Sunset strip.

Here, you turn down a street with the same style buildings as the Street that you came in on. There is a tall abandoned hotel at the end of the street, and if you look and listen closely, you can see elevators going by the windows, and you could hear people screaming. Your courisity draws you closer to the building, and you see some bellhops stopped with a croud around them, and what are they doing? They are of all things, Juggling! You think how wierd it is for juggling bellhops to be at an abonded hotel and proced to the up the street to the building.

You enter the hotels Garden past two ghostly looking bellhops. Unlike the juggling ones, these ones seemed to be in a trance! As you procede up the garden path, there is a wierd mist floating around, making you get chills up and down your spine. Then, you go under an awning with an old decaying fountain in it. There are huge vines growing all over, and as you procede up the path, you come to the lobby. You decide to enter, and find everything was left the way it was in 1939, except for the spiderwebs. Then snother strange ghostly bellhop takes you into the hotels libary. In a flash of lightning, the TV flashes on, and an old episode of the twilight zone comes on. It explanins that one stormy night long ago, five people steped through a door of an elvator and into a nightmare. That door is opening once again, and this time it's for YOU! A sliding panel opens in the back of the libary, and you enter the basement. Here you choose a service elevator, if you don't chicken out, and get in. You are seated by a ghostly bellhop and told some basic information. Then, the doors close, and your elevator car climbs up a few stories. Here you see the ghosts of the people who rode the elevator in 1939. They are calling for you, and then the room turns to stars. You then move up some more. Here you move out of the shaft by some strange force and see a bunch of larger than life clocks, windows, eyes, etc. Then at the end of this tunnel, stars are comeing together into a point of light. Once it's very bright, it spreads into a line and rips open into a door. You pass through and wait. You get a feeling of doom in these few moments, and an annouchment comes on saying that "this elevator travels to the deepest darkest secrets of your imagination, in the Tower of Terror," and then you plummet 7 storys, and are sent back up. Doors open, and you can see over all of the Studios, and then you plummet 13 storys, again and again until its a total of 7 times. you then return to a storage room, suprized you made it out alive. Then you exit into a gift shop.

When rideing this ride, here are some things to look for. There are really 4 service elevators, unlike what is told in the movie. The bellhops, are not really ghost as well, just actors. When you are in the room with all of the strange, large objects, look for the eye at the end of the hall. It will take your picture. Then, when you are in the final elevator shaft. Look up and down. There are grates under your feet, and at certain points you can see down the shaft. When you look up, you can see all the way up the shaft. When you load the ride, be sure to ask the bellhop for "the Chair," he'll know exactly what you're talking about. The chair is a single seat in the back row, with nothing in front of you. It has a seatbelt, not a lapbar, so you get lots and lots of air time. For those of you that don't know, airtime is a floating senstaion that lasts for a few seconds where you "fly." If you want in with a lapbar, sit by a very fat person, so the bar doesn't go down all of the way.

Lets contuine to Rockin Rollercoaster. After you get out of the Tower of Terror, you see an Archway with a old corvete rideing on guitar strings. You get intersted once again (Isn't that what got you in trouble on the Tower???), and follow them. They lead to a large tan building, with a big red guitar out front. You decide to go in and find out it's a recording studio. You go in to take a tour, and find out that the band Aerosmith is recording today. You have the chance to listen in on a recording session as well. After waiting a while, the doors open and you enter the recording room.

There is a sheet of glass between you and Aerosmith, and you see them reviewing one of their songs. It takes a while, but they finally notice you, and they say their hellos. Suddenly, their manager comes in saying that they have to do a show all the way across town. Being appreciative of their fans, they tell the manager that they can't leave their fans like this. She doesn't want to, but finally gives in. Then she gets on her cell phone and decides that she needs a bigger car. She calls up "Sal" and says..."Hi Sal, It's me. Listen, I'm going to need a bigger car. Yeah, make it a strech. In fact, Make it a Super Stretch!" While all of this is going on, Aerosmith is calling for her and suddenly they pull away. She tells you that your limo is waiting for you in the back alley, and she calls a taxi.

You leave the recording studio, and you enter a back alleyway. You see some limos coming out of a parking garage, and speeding away, so you go into the garage. There, a limo is waiting for you so you get in. Then you turn out of the garage and come to a hault.

A tunnel is ahead of you, and get talked to by a member of Aerosmith about the traffic. Then, you speed off into the tunnel, going 0-65 in 3 seconds! By this time, you are out of the tunnel, listening to your Aerosmith tunes, and go to the roof of the building in a large loop. You go upside down another time, and then go speeding off through hollywood. You speed though many glow in the dark cut outs of Hollywoods famouse places, and before the song that you're listening is over, you arrive at the concert. Talk about a fast and fun limo ride!!!

You exit into a room where you can buy ride pictures, and you see an Aerosmith concert on a screen. Next, you enter the gift shop and leave.

You enter back onto Sunset Strip and see a theatre and a long road. You find out that a Beauty and the Beast show is playing in the theatre. You decide to see it and find a Broadway musical style show. You enjoyed it a lot, but lets move on. You will be coming back to the road next to it after Dark.

Next, you move back to the street that you came in on. You cross it, and pass some resturants. There is a big buffet with execelent food, and next to it is a resturant where you watch old TV sitcoms on old black and white TVS at your table. As you are passing these by, you are also working your way around a lake. Docked on one side, is a boat, which serves ice cream. On the other side of the Lake, you see something weird...What is it? A dinosaur, that also searves Ice cream. You have now reached the Indiana Jones Stunt show.

You enter the theatre, and "extras" are chosen. After this the show starts. First, Indy slides down a rope from the ceiling. Then, working his way around, a bunch of spears pop up at him, but luckyly, they all miss. Then, he climbs up steps to a temple, and sees a crystal and grabs it. Then the room shakes, and a giant boulder starts rolling toward him. He runs, but doesn't make it. It runs over him, but he's still okay. Then, we go to the next scene. All of the stuff that just happened is on the back of a tractor trailer, so it pulls it away. We are now in a market place. Without giving away the whole show, I'll say that Indy fights the Nazis while doing various stunts.

Lets move to the next thing. You see Sound Dangerous, so you decide to go in, not knowing what it is. You are watching a new kind of TV show, where a undercover cop, Drew Carry, has cameras and microphones, so you can see what he's doing at all times. Unfortunaly, he puts the camera in his mouth and breaks it, so you only have sound. The room gets compleatly dark, and you only have sound. It's a very creepy effect, when he gets a haircut, goes to the circus, etc. Since I'm not giving away the whole thing, lets move on...
