Frank “the hit man” Kielly: If ever there was a third member of The Good Stuff, it is “the hit man”. Most devoted and loved guest, caller and listener of the show, and whenever he makes a cameo appearance he improves the whole vibe of the show immeasurably. Something's always happening when Frank's on.
Ben
“the gag man” Williams: “The gag man” has many, many critics, but in
Mik and Mal’s opinion most of the criticism he receives is completely unfounded.
Sure he may say, play and do stupid things, but that is still absolutely
no excuse for the listeners’ harsh and insensitive feedback about him.
If he had any idea of the sorts of things the listeners say, Mik and Mal
are worried exactly how he would respond. "The gag man" has an extremely
fragile emotional state that requires endless appraisal of everything he
does. People must try to remember that “the gag man” has feelings too.
Particularly sensitive ones.
Jon “the soft man” Turner: Mik and Mal gave “the soft man” a call up to guest present The Good Stuff in a vain attempt to attract a larger female audience due to his girly attitude on most issues and mellow voice. So far it appears as if this crazy little venture has been unsuccessful.
Beaver "Fuckin... Fuck, can I say 'fuck' on-air?" Manners: Beaver is da man and was the heavy metal dude of The Good Stuff. The only guest to say the dirty “f” word three times in one sentence live on-air . For this offense he was forced to move to Scotland, but he will return to have his vengeance. Beaver turned any show into a rockin party.
Marky “the jazz man” Fisher: When The Good Stuff needs to spice it up a bit; we always give “the jazz man” a call. He is the only guest to have performed live music on the show; belting out on his very funky tabla and gaining rave responses from listeners. He also shone in the otherwise forgettable Who Put My Knob Ring In The Shower, a radio play performed on The Good Stuff early in 2001.
Henry “the farm boy” Cook: After Mik and Mal have had a couple of poor shows in a row (as unbelievable as that may be) by their remarkably high standards, there is only one man that can solve the problem. “The farm boy” comes on just to remind Mik and Mal that even their bad days on The Good Stuff are nothing compared to “the farm boy's” very, very best days. He does provide a valuable link to the country bumpkin demographic, though, should Mik and Mal ever choose to take The Good Stuff in this direction.
Lauren “the girl” Nagle: “The girl” is The Good Stuff's link to all the happenings in the community. While Mik and Mal spend countless hours, even days, locked away in the studio preparing and psyching up for the next show, “the girl” is out there finding out exactly what is going down in the hardened streets of the Blue Mountains.
Shaz “the bomb man” Jamshidi: When “the bomb man” drops in the world shakes due to his outrageous antics constantly being pulled on and off air. “The bomb man” brings a cultured, continental edge to The Good Stuff that is sometimes sadly lacking.
Stu “the junior man” Rhodes: Mik and Mal are frequently reminded by hundreds of listeners each week that they have a tendency to forget about the younger members of the community. That is where “the junior man” steps in. He taps into what's shakin in the world of mountains’ kids between the ages of 10 and 17 and gives them exactly what they want, exactly what they crave: fully sick gear! Unlike other Friends of The Good Stuff, “the junior man” has a blood connection that he cannot deny.
Daniel “the flame man” Murphy: If you like Triple M, Acca Dacca, Best of Beer Songs 2, tight black rock t-shirts, mullets and VB you want to be listening when “the flame man” is on. He takes The Good Stuff into a zany time warp straight back to when Ozzy Osborne was the shit.
