History:
Shikujiru is a man with a bloody past and a tormented present. There is no promise, no feeling of belonging, no love. There is only pain and anguish, and torments of his earlier years when he was weak, and unable to save the lives of those he cared for the most. When he was a young boy, his entire family, along with the other one hundred and ten passengers of the cruise liner "Maize" were massacred in a terrorist attack. Only he and his sister survived the attack, but young Minami Ikazuchi, Shikujiru's younger sister, was captured by the group. The only words her heard the man speak sound like some kind of code; "Masa ni Mikado"... Maybe a secrect password. Some time later, Shikujiru fell in love with a beautiful woman named Rei Ikasa, to whom he had spent years of his time around in his field of occupation at the time: executive manager of the Midtown Clothing Center on the planet Varios, sister planet to Calliope. They eventually married, and had a daughter they named Sharin Masamune Ikasa. Sharin was always Mommy's Little Girl, and never liked her father too much. They barely did anything together, but family outings were numerous and enjoyable. But that all changed so quickly. One night, after Sharin and Rei did not come home, he went out looking for them. As he walked down a secluded street on the east side of town, he heard a scream, followed by moans of pain, inside of what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse. Upon going inside, he was instantly detained by a terrorist group... and found that screams of agony had come from his wife as the terrorist soldiers had raped and beaten her to death. He never saw Sharin ever again, and has only vague memories of being held prisoner. Several hundred years of sorrowful existence later, Shikujiru joined a Militaristic group called the Mikado Corps., hoping that by moving up through the ranks he could achieve enough power to destroy those who had held him down for so long. He would make terrorists pay for the crimes they did against normal people... The problem was, he didn't know what he was getting into... he had just joined a *terrorist military organization.* ...whoops. Shikujiru's final mission in the Mikado corps was the assasination of the Royal Family of Calliope. He and three other agents, Minako Murasaki, Shikame Yamino, and Hideo Natsuri, all eventually decided that the mission parameters were unacceotable, and the mission was aborted by the agents themselves. The "new plan" was to protect the royal family from the attack of Ryomahra, a man long feared by entire galaxies for his destructive power. What a change of heart, eh? On the day of the attack, Shikujiru saved a young girl named Lucienda Shinto from certain death at the hands of Ryomahra, and escaped the planet to take her into his care. Eventually, Lucienda became lost during a bar fight in whcih Shikujiru became involved... He did not know who took her, or where they went, but only that she was gone... The day after he lost her, Shikujiru joined the Galaxy Police, an organization dedicated to justice and peace throughout it's reach. In his mind, this was the only way to correct all the wrongs he had ever done; right the injustifiable causes he has served... And that is what he has done for the last eighty years; train his body and mind, uphold the law, dedicate his life to the safety of others, and protection of those he loves... and his life itself truly depends on it.
Personality:
Shikujiru's mind is a wonderous thing indeed. While usually maintaining a cool and collected aura about him, he may sometimes suddenly snap go from being completely calm into an uncontrolled rage. This is the product of his past experiences; his mind is frail. This is most likely the cause of most of Shikame and Shikujiru's mini-battles. While usually it takes the stress a while to break him down, Shikame seems to have the ability to drill straight into Shikujiru's mind, damaging even the deepest levels of his inner sanity with just one word or phrase, sending Shikujiru into a wild rage with the intent of destorying Shikame and anyone known to him. Several moments later, he realizes what he is doing, and the battle generally comes to an end with either Shikujiru crying - another form of his past coming through - or becoming stoic and walking off. Another side of Shikujiru's personality is childlike, immature. This side is shown around women, children, and close friends. He almost seems to be a teenager again, pulling pranks, enjoying jokes, laughing. However, this side is rarely seen around the people that know him currently, as the stress from just being near them is too much to bear. Normally he is just helpful, silent; asking questions and speaking only when prompted... but lately, something is wrong... His choice of attire has shifted as well. Shikujiru used to wear a stunningly charming white suit: white slacks, white button-up, and an Armani one-button sportcoat. Now, he wears the same, but in black, and can even sometimes be seen to wear a black, floor-sweeping trenchcoat over that, bearing the Mikado Corps logo on the left shoulder and a nametag bearing "IKAZUCHI" on the left breast. THe origin of the trenchcoat is assumed to be of the dismantled mercenary organization, the Mikado Corps. The fact that has returned to wearing this could mean one of two things. One, he likes creeping people out; two, he is regressing to his earlier days. ...a tormented individual indeed.

History:
One of only a few survivors from his home planet, Calliope, he travels under the alias of the bounty hunter, Thanatos. The only person that has known him for a long time, and that is still alive, is an old friend from a secret mission of a long since dismantled para-military organization, the Mikado Corps. The goal of the mission was the assassination of the Royal family of the main City/Country of Calliope: A mother and father, two daughters, and one of the daughters suitors. The mission was cancelled by all four agents during the mission without direct orders from the Mikado Corps. Soon after the planet was attacked and destroyed by a man long since forgotten and disregarded by Shikame. Lieutenant Commander Shikujiru Ikazuchi, Lieutenant Shikame Yamino, and- one of the daughters- Lucienda Shinto, are the only confirmed survivors to have made it off the planet in time. Agents Minako Murasaki and Hideo Natsuri are presumed Killed In Action in the collapse of a local hotel.
Shikame and Shikujiru have long since abandoned their friendship and are prone to low-scale fights and arguments. The reason for their unsaid hatred for each other is known only to Shikame and Shikujiru. Both have developed a kind of mutual respect for each other, and are working on resolving the hatred between them, but not much is needed for the embers of a low-scale fight to erupt into a heavy forest fire. Most often the cause for this is Shikame's constant smart mouth attitude, always finding the smallest detail to taunt his former friend with, but he has learned not to press Shikujiru when the former Mikado agent is about to snap.
After the mission, Shikame arrived on earth and pursued the general art of magic. To do that, he searched out the Wizard Merlin and convinced Merlin to let him be his apprentice. After a few of the basics, Shikame met another elf wizard and learned the art of shape shifting, but usually only uses it to take the form of a white bengal tiger, striped orange instead of black. Not many days after learning that, Merlin abandoned Shikame for seemingly no reason. The other person he is an apprentice to is a mysterious woman that apparently turned him into a Vampire. He really doesn't mind being just that, and tends to annoy his Vampire Master with affection.
Personality:
Shikame has always had a problem with smarting off to anyone he dislikes even the smallest bit, often resulting in a verbal exchange, sometimes even physical fights. He is often seen wearing black jeans, high top black shoes, a black sleeveless shirt, and a blue shirt split down the middle with sleeves to his elbows. A small violet is embroidered on the right top portion of the blue shirt, over the chest area. The reason for the flower is known only to him. Shikame appears to be a male in his early twenties, and if any Earthling he didn't now were to ask him, he would tell them 23, along with a smart comment afterwards.
Ever since the mission Shikame has always been finding ways into fights, using "bounty hunter" as an excuse. He isn't a very strong fighter compared to Shikujiru, or Ryoko even, but that doesn't make him any less dangerous. He fights with his mind and his magic, predicting his opponents next move and countering it just as they strike. This isn't as hard as one would imagine, as his opponent almost always goes for the chest, neck, or head area. This tactics only downfall for him is it usually leaves him open to attacks anywhere else on his body. His weapons usually include his scythe, a strange silver hilted, white bladed sword, and a beam saber with a dark blue blade. He has named the saber Shingai. The only opponent known to be able to go head to head with Shikame and rally back and forth without a true strike is none other than Shikujiru, who comes complete with the same abilities, only amplified.
