| Earth The world is quiet and still, even under the influence of a cool gentle breeze. A child watched a sea of gems which fill the sky, while thinking of the other lives that they hold. The child's mother calls her in explaning what a silly girl she is for the stars never change. The girl just smiles, for she knows that part of what her mother says is true, but it is not the stars that refuse to change. This girl knows that the stars hold many secrets that the grown-ups would never know, for she has seen beyond her world and into the heart of another and both are watching the same sky, and the same star, but from the other side. She still remebers his last words "Things do not always seem to change, but as long as you choose to see all the changes then everything will be fine." With one final glance she enters the house and heads to bed, thinking over the tales that the boy told about his planet, that he called Earth. |
