Election Games 2.0
Some of what I am thinking about doing for a 2.0, post-election, version of Election Games is still sort of vague. It will of course, include the results of the election presented as completely as possible. But, what might be political based software that has life beyond the election?
Consider some of what we have heard during this process. McCain has voted with Bush 90% of the time. Obama has the most liberal voting record in the Senate. McCain has voted against legislation supporting veterans. Obama voted for immunity for the telecom companies in NSA eavesdropping on US citizens, upsetting some supporters concerned with civil liberties. McCain has a record of voting against women's health issues was heard after his comments in the last debate regarding abortions involving the mothers health. Obama has never voted against the Democratic party leadership. This shows one way we can understand how issues do apply - from actual congressional votes. It might even be argued that a congressional vote figured into what may be the ultimate outcome of the presidential election. The voting on the bailout plan that went to a rescue. 2008-10-18 02:54:57 GMT
