| Born in '57 Raised in Daly City, and partially in the Tenderloin. I'd been interested in music since I was a kid. Don't know if I can say it was the Ed Sullivan Show, introducing the Beatles that turned me around. I don't remember seeing it. But my Mother was a Beatle fan and I was the first kid in my school, maybe in all of Daly City that had long hair. I was in the second grade. Had a strong desire to play the guitar after first thinking it was the drums that was calling me. I thank our music teacher for putting me on the triangle and leaving me feel like there has to be more than hitting the damned thing once during a song and performance. And my folks for not being able to afford a drum set to make me realise that I was going for the guitar, it was calling me. It was cheaper too. Thankfully I had an ally in Jorge "OsO" Obregon, we tried making a band with the neighborhood kids (his and my brothers and a few other kids) and they just were'nt as interested as the both of us were. And now over 45, I'm married to my childhood crush/ love interest Carleen "LadyHawke" Amadio who has graced our band with her energy. And OsO who went out of his way to locate me to try this music thing again and I'm glad he did. Thanks ol' man. I feel blessed to have this band with these two as well as our teacher/keyboard player Michael "Bandicoot" Frisbie and our newest addition Steve "Leo" Call on the drums, this should be fun.... |
