I learned something very cool today!!! I have been hounding Creations of Cris owner, Cris K. to teach me to work with opacity. She was finally bribed with hot coffee and friendship lol. These backgrounds... are made using various tubes I have downloaded. I dropped them on a first layer over a white background, and filled the page. Then, I highlighted the image and used the selection tool to choose a small part of the image, and let me tell you it was picky about how much I chose! I went to the selection option, and chose to convert to a seamless pattern....... I opened yet another image, chose flood fill from the tool options, chose the pattern of the image I had just constructed, and used it to flood fill my second image. The cool part? I turned the opacity down to about 20. I guess this would vary depending on the colors and the image you were using. It layed a beautiful soft looking background down for me to build on.... so I tubed the side border with the actual images and added some frills here and there for personality. The trick I am still working on... is getting them to tile seamlessly..... this could get interesting. So if you would like to use one of these images, you may have to play with it a bit........... Thanx Crissii. ya know I love ya moren my luggage!~ |
