Letters to Alicia, part III
The sun is shining, and the moon is out, but they are forever apart.
You and I should never be.

Two jewels, one of the day, one of the night,
Looking up at that star, the sun so bright,
I wish I were of the day, I wish I might,
Be with you always, out in the light,
But I am the moon, shining tonight,
And I am waning, out of sight,
But I WON'T disappear, not in the slight,
I have the whole world, and time is not tight,
Only this time I want to be better, I want to be right,
For now I am waxing, growing in size, and growing in height,
Soon I will not be the moon, but the whole sky, high as a kite,
Then I will be one, one with my sun, and everything will be alright.
