Chapter Sixteen
Simone was walking around outside the Bennett house, still in a daze over the happenings of today. It was around noon now, the cops were all over the place. It took Luis, Sam, and five other cops to get Grace and Charity into the truck for the asylum. No one noticed Kat grasp the witch's hands and take their powers from them. After the transfer, Kat fainted from exhaustion. Tree and Sher took her to the hospital to get checked up on. Simone, not looking where she was going, ran into someone.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm really clumsy. I just wasn't looking where I was going." She looked up into a pair of large blue eyes she could drown.
"That's all right. I was preoccupied as well. I'm Christian." He ran a hand through his jet black hair that was in the style of a bowl-cut. Christian was wearing a pair of khaki pants along with a blue and white hawaiian shirt that was left unbuttoned over a white undershirt.
"Hi, I'm Simone. Do you go to Harmony High? I don't think I've seen you before." Simone lightly interrogated him.
"Oh, no. I mean, I'm going to go there next year. I just finished my junior year back in Florida and we moved here because my Dad is a new officer on the police force." He informed her, wondering if he was saying too much.
"Oh? You lived in Florida? I bet it was nice to just be able to have the beach as your back yard."
"Actually, I lived inland. I lived in a small hick town called Okeechobee. I'm happy I got out of there before I started dating a cousin or something." He smirked a million-dollar smile that made Simone melt.
She laughed and was about to say something but her mother came up. "Simone, I don't want you around this crime scene. Go home right now, all right?" Simone nodded and watched her mother leave.
"May I walk you home?" Christian asked her gentlemanly.
"Thank you very much. Our school year just ended, you know. In fact, tonight's the prom..." and he walked her to her house, talking about the prom the whole time.

Kat's spirit floated out of her hospital bed and went over to a glowing orb of light that turned into a girl with angel wings and a halo. "Hello, Kathleen. We are very proud of the way you stood up to the Witches Stand."
"Well, I have to admit that I was actually pretty selfish about it. I mean, I was just doing it to get my family back, to be able to go home." She looked down. "Will you take these powers from me? I don't think Kay will be able to responsibly handle them, nor I would ever be able to." Kat said with a little sorrow in her voice, missing her home.
"Of course. I want you to know that when you wake up, you will be yourselves, not in your doubles' bodies. That goes for all of you. Your doubles are now on this world and they will be in your hospital room soon. They haven't had as much of an impact on your world, as you had on theirs, but I think it would be good if you talked. Also, get some gowns from Sher, you're going to a prom tonight. You are going to have to explain what happened to your doubles, but use tonight in good taste because tomorrow you will be home. Good-bye." The angel girl disappeared in a flash of light and Kat's spirit floated back into her body.
"Hey, guys, what time is it?" Kat woke up and shook Tree and Sher.
"Well, hi there. It's about noon." Tree said, blinking the sleep away, she didn't get much sleep after cramming about witches.
"Okay, we have a little time... go and open the door, Sher, will you?" Kat asked politely.
"All right..." Sher went and opened the door and nearly fainted.
"Hi, I'm guessing you're Sher Lopez~ Fitzgerald. Man, you guys wreaked quite a bit of havoc on our town." Sheridan came in, followed by Theresa and Kay.
"Hey, you guys. So you are THE originals for this world, eh?" Kat greeted them warmly.
"Guess we are. When I found my father at home, Kay found out Ivy was her mother and Sheridan went in for a papsmear, we hid out for the rest of the time. I think your boyfriends are probably going crazy." Theresa laughed.
"Let's compare notes, huh? I think that would be a good idea. I mean, I'm dying to know what's been happening with you and Miguel, Kat." Kay started getting fidgety, hoping that she was now together with her crush.
"Okay, well, I'll go first seeing as how I have had the biggest success." Sher giddily remarked.
"Do not tell me you have me going with Luis. He used me! He's a macho pig who does nothing but rescue me when I do not need help. He thinks that I can't take care of myself so he comes in on his white horse to save me and- "Sheridan started and Sher pulled the Luis mask out of her purse.
"I have a present for you, oh double of mine." She showed it to Sheridan and told her the story from what Luis and her could figure that happened that night. "You can talk to Julian tonight, after the prom which you are going to as a chaperone with Luis." Sheridan's face lit up with thoughts of what she would do with Luis and what she would do to her brother.
"I broke Charity's spell over Miguel and now he knows he loves you and gives you these googly eyed looks every once in a while. You need to grab his attention, I think Simone got you a dress." Kat told her story and Kay hugged her.
"Thank you so much! You have gotten me farther than I ever could." Kay squealed with delight.
"It's okay. You just don't have to try as hard and be nicer to people even if you are jealous. Though you can't be nice to that Charity Standish, so I don't blame you." Kat and the rest of them laughed. Theresa turned to Tree.
"What about Ethan? Did you get anywhere with him?" Theresa looked at her with big hopeful eyes.
"I broke him and Gwen up. It turns out she was having an affair with Hank Bennett. The wedding is off, he knows you love him and, after Kat broke the spells, Ethan confessed his love, but ran out and no one has seen him since. I'm sorry." Tree hugged Theresa consoling her as she cried. "Look, you know he loves you, he just needs time to think it through. You know how slow men are." That cheered up Theresa and they went on to talk about the prom when Sher heard a noise out in the hall way. She quietly stood up and went to go check on it and someone put a hand around her mouth.
"Be very, very quiet. I don't want anything to happen to you, but if you freak out something might. I'm going to let go of your mouth, but be careful of what you do, all right?" She nodded silently to the figure behind her. She turned around and looked at the tan man. He was wearing doctor's scrubs a mask around his mouth and nose but his hair was loose, in slight wavy curls that were down to his shoulders like Heath Ledger's in Ten Things I Hate About You. She gasped. "You?!"
