Vest and Sashes

       The following are items worn on vests or sashes.



Awards

Brownie Wings- Place under the membership stars and personal identification pin. It shows membership as a Brownie and "flying up" from Brownies to Juniors.

Junior Leadership Pin- Place this below the Bridge to Cadette Girl Scouts Awards, either on the left side of the sash or on the right side of the vest.-

Bridge to Cadettes- Place below the Brownie Wings for both sash and vest. Junior Girl Scouts must complete certain activities for award to bridge to Cadettes.

Cadette Leadership- Place below the Bridge to Cadette Girl Scouts Award, on either side of the sash or on the fight side of the vest, and to the left of the Cadette Girl Scout Challenge Pin.

Cadette Challenge Pin- Place below the Bridge to Cadette Girl Scouts Award on the right side. This shows completion of a Cadette Girl Scout "challenge."

Career Exploration Pin- Place this pin below the leadership awards on both vest and sash.

Silver Award- Place this to the left of the Girl Scout Membership Pin. The Silver Award is the highest award for for Cadette Girl Scouts. If the award is worn with the Gold Award, then it goes to the left of the Career Exploration Pin.

Bridge to Senoirs- Have above the Bridge to Cadette Girl Scouts Award for the sash and the vest. Cadettes must complete this award in order to bridge to Senior Girl Scouting.

Senior Leadership- Place below the Bridge to Cadette Girl Scouts Award, either on the left side of the sash, or the right side of the vest, and left of the Cadette Girl Scout Leadership Award.

Senior Challenge- Place this below the Bridge to Cadette Girl Scouts award and left of the Cadette Scout Challenge Pin.

Dreams to Reality- Place this award in the same area as the Cadette and Senior girls Girl Scout Interest Project awards.

Gold Award- Place this to the left of the Girl Scout Membership Pin. This is the highest award for Girl Scouts

Ten Year Award- Place to the right of the Girl Scout Memebership Pin. Theis represents being a registered Girl Scout for ten years, and membership does not have to be continuous.



General Pins

Girl Scout Identification Strip- Place this below the Girl Scouts of the USA identification strip on the sash, or the right side of the vest.

Girl Scout Membership Pin- Place this on the left side of the vest, on the insignia tab. It appears either in the contemporary or traditional version.

Girl Scouts of the USA Identification Strip- Place this below the insignia or below the shoulder seam of the vest on the right side.

Insignia Tab- Place this on the left side above the heart on the vest. The World Trefoil Pin, the Girl Scout Membershipe Pin, and other pins can be worn on the tab.

Membership Stars- Place the stars beneath the troop numerals. Start with the Daisy star (blue) on the right, then the Brownie stars (green), Junior stars (yellow), Cadette stars, and Senior stars (red).

Numeral Guard- Attach to the Girl Scout Membership Pin and put it on the insignia tab.

Troop Numerals- Place below the troop crest either on the sash or on the right side of the vest.

World Trefoil Pin- Place above the Girl Scout Membership Pin and on the insignia tab.
