Gloria must account for her actions

It is time to go for Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to step down.

Overseas Filipino workers, their families and the Filipino people have been seeking out the truth and justice on the lingering issue of massive fraud and violence in the last national elections.

We have long suffered from the various anti-OFW and anti-people policies that have been worsened under the Macapagal-Arroyo regime. From negligent diplomatic posts, the violent repression of dissent and runaway price hikes in oil and basic commodities and services, this administration has worsened the already miserable lives of our people.

In the Philippines and in overseas Filipino communities abroad, more and more of our compatriots are rallying to the call for the most anti-OFW and most corrupt President to resign.

No amount of Malacanang's manufacturing efforts can put up a semblance of support to the crumbling Macapagal-Arroyo administration.

We are conducting all forms of actions here and abroad: from petitions, forums, assemblies and the ongoing boycott of remitting via formal channels. Our No Resign, No Remit Campaign will continue to gain ground as long as Gloria clings on to power.

Gloria has lost what she claims is her mandate to govern. She is losing whatever friends she has left. From various people's organizations and movements, political parties, business groups, the academe and churches, Gloria is being increasingly pressured to resign.

Across the country and around the world, the Filipino people will not be fooled. We will not be deceived by diversionary tactics of self-exile or a revamp of the executive branch of government.

Gloria must be made to account for her crimes against OFWs and the people. Since her presidency is illegitimate, all her executive and administrative orders, memorandum circulars and issuance must be immediately revoked. All anti-people laws such as the new E-VAT law enacted by Congress must be unconditionally repealed.

Clearly, Gloria is an anti-OFW, anti-people, corrupt and fake President. She has no legal or moral basis to govern. If she does not resign, the people will oust her from Malacanang.

Simply said, she has lost it.

Gloria must heed the people's clamor. #
