Easter

Another interesting image I found somewhere, this one turned sideways. Clearly this is based on the Red Flower and Blur Glasslayouts, just changed around (colours, image, etc.).

I changed the size of the image so that it would look decent on both 800x600 and 1024x768. I thought about adding some sort of cheesy philosophical quote, but I didn't want to wreck the image for those of you who want to use it sans quotation.

Although you're all lucky because I returned to browser safe colours for this layout. The background colour is #006666 and the border, links, and font are #003333. I know, you can barely contain yourself with excitement.

This is called "Easter" because that's what the colours remind me of. Sickly sweet jelly beans. Rabbit shaped ju jubes. My father tends to hide candy around the house, except he does an excessively good job so we still find Easter candy around Labour Day. Yum

I know everyone hates the commercialization of Christmas, but at least I can understand it. I mean, the wisemen brought gifts to Jesus, so we give gifts to each other. It quickly got out of hand, but at least the origin made sense. Can someone explain the concept of secular Easter to me? What does the Easter Bunny and pastel coloured candy have to do with the Crucifixion? [I sound like a Bible thumper but I'm not. I just don't get this.]
