This will hurt me more than it will hurt you

I really like Exploding Dog. The guy who makes it draws images based on weird sentences people send him. He sets up this interesting juxtapositon between what the line is and what the final image is. Sometimes it's sad, sometimes it's hilarious.

Anyway, this design is made expressly for 1024 x 768 screens. It will look hideous on anything else. It's just because of the side by side image thing. I could make them smaller, but what fun would that be? You should be rewarded for having a larger screen.

I don't really have a lot else to say about this to fill up this space, so on to mindless blathering.

I am taking a class on the History Of Rock And Roll. It is growing steadily worse as time progresses. It's like an infomercial now; I wouldn't be surprised to see washed-up ex VJs from MTV show up one day. All they do is mention a band, play their one hit, and then move on. I swear to god half the songs we listened to today were from that Sounds Of The Eighties compilation that is only available on TV.

We breezed through Punk, New Wave, and the early eighties today. My profs were discussing different influences on Punk, and they mentioned reggae. "Yay!" I thought, "They're going to play the Clash!" And they did. But what did they play? The only too obvious "London Calling" which clearly has no reggae overtones to it. At least play "Revolution Rock."

The only thing that saved the class from utter awfulness was that they played XTC's "Making Plans For Nigel." There is nothing better than that song (well, maybe a few things). It's got this nice apocalyptic 1984 Orwellian feel to it. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into the lyrics again.

Eventually, this will scroll. I am just sick of writing stuff to make it do that. You just have to trust me that it will.
