San Jose appears to have the most consistently nice Eichlers in a price range under $900K.  All the tracts appear to be built in the middle of Eichler's building period which runs from about 1957 to 1964.  These neighborhoods have a few remodels, but most of them are tastefully kept and painted in nice earthtones with bright trim and doors.  Your money buys more in San Jose than it does in other peninsula cities, and the neighborhoods are as nice or nicer.

Below is the Fairglen tract in San Jose.  216 houses built around 1958-1961.  Many of them appear to be a model similar to the Anshen and Allen model E-111, a flat-roofed atrium.  Some of them are 3 BR/2BA without an atrium and also in this group on Fairglen is 1 double-peaked atrium model that appears to belong in a Claude Oakland subdivision 10 years newer.  These houses are south of Curtner and east of Meridian

The goup of houses to the left are close to the Fairglen tract and from a similar vintage.  These houses are north of Curtner and east of Meridian.  I count 30 of them here but I need to drive this neighborhood again to really see how many are here.
