"I was so excited I had a boner during the whole rehearsal," exclaimed MCB drummer Steve Quartarola. "This is sure to be our best show ever." "Because of that boner Steve was able to do some fills that he normally can't," said guitarist Gary Mears. "I just hope he's this excited during the actual perfomance." The 5th Annual Tracy, CA July 4th Bash will be held on June 30 in the Woodfield Estates subdivision in Tracy, CA. 9 bands are expected to perform at this all-day event. Joining veteran guitarists Steve Chapman, Gary Mears, and Craig Lyons will be Lou Gordillo and Ron Freschi. "The music we play is very complex," said Mark Walters, lead singer for MCB and President of CashFlowInstitute, "Three guitars just weren't enough to handle the intricate arrangements we do for our songs." Gordillo, whose last band, Desire, nearly catapulted to the top echelon of rock bands before breaking up due to incidents of inapropriate touching by their drummer, and Freschi, late of Babylon A.D., are expected to start rehearsing with MCB in preparation for their upcoming Broadway show, "MIGHTY CHONCH BROTHER MANIA". |

| MARK WALTERS TO LEAVE THE MIGHTY CHONCH BROTHERS? December 09, 2001 (Phoenix, AZ) - Rumors have continued to circulate that Mark Walters, lead singer of THE MIGHTY CHONCH BROTHERS, will be leaving the band to pursue a solo career. Although no one was willing to comment for the record, several people in a position to know have confirmed that Walters has left the band. "This has been a pattern with him all along", said one disgruntled insider, who wished to remain anonymous. "He broke up Travesty back in 1979 when he joined another band to sing Rush songs, and now it looks like he is breaking up The Mighty Chonch Brothers." Walters, when contacted at his El Mirage, AZ home said "The Mighty Chonch Brothers will always live on in the hearts of its fans." Asked what he meant by that, Walters had no comment. It has been confirmed that Walters has been in the recording studio, and a bootleg tape of the results of those sessions has been making its way around the internet.
