Skills are broken down into a wide categoies, rather then a assign a single skill for differnt types of guns for example. So to have a signle skill for guns there is Gun Fu which covers the ability to fire anything with a trigger to it.
Yes I know this doesn't make it realistic, but it reflects the reality of the TV this game is based on. Plus it makes character creation alot easier: then having to have a huge list of skills like in most other game systems (take d20 and WoD).
Keep in mind what skills your pc will have take for example your pc is a jungle explore, her/his/it science skill would reflect mostly an expertise in botany and biology, and knowledge skill would deal mainly with geography and exotic cultures. |
