| Joseph Miessau b.Dec.1,1877 in Woodville,Nfld d.Oct.6,1946 in Connecticut,US Married Amelia Anne (Millie) Kendell b.May 3,1883 d.1981. They were married Jan.6,1901 in Codroy,nfld. Together they had 14 children but only 8 survived. The other 6 are buried in Codroy,Nfld. Surviving 8 children are as follows: |
| Joseph b.Dec.1877 was 23 at time of marriage. He was a half brother to my dad but 26 years older. He left Woodville,Nfld in 1925 and went to Connecticut. He built his house in Codroy in 1912 and still owns the land it was on. That house was sold later to Will and Kitty Carter. It is now torn down. Joseph built the doors in the Church in Codroy and are still there today with a plaque on them to that affect. He also helped build the old school in Woodville in 1922. He was baptised Mar.6,1878 in Codroy,Nfld. Jane Galpin and George Kendell were witnesses at his marriage to Amelia (Millie) Kendell on Jan.6,1901 in Codroy,Nfld. |
