When I was born, my mother almost died. My head was too large. By the age of two years I could wear my father's hat. My head was so big that the doctor's were concerned that my neck would not be able to support its weight. Friends will tell you that my head hasn't shrunk yet. |

I was raised in the Six Points area, a suburb of Toronto. Time passes slowly in the suburbs. In fact scientists have been taking DNA samples from local residents showing that people age slower in the Six Points proving one of Einstein's theories. The average life span of a resident of the Six Points is almost three and half days longer than the average Swede. |

I went to the University of Windsor where I first found love, and heartache, and hangovers. I entered graduate school and left with a Master's Degree in Philosophy. My master thesis was on a German philosopher, Hegel, comparing his notion of the state with Karl Marx's. I predicted the inevitable fall of the communist's states of the Soviet Empire years before Ronald Reagan. |

Years passed. One night in a snowstorm I met Pierre Eliot Trudeau. I became part of the growing poet community in Toronto before most of that community grew up and got jobs in a large Life Insurance Company. I wrote, published, fell in and out of love, met Bob Dylan outside the Queen Street Mental Institution and generally lied as much as was legally possible. |

I met my future wife on Yonge Street where she was working.... selling jewellry. Mieke is from Belgium. She soon fled back to her homeland. I pursued. We were married, lived in a small town called Hamme, and had our son, Michael. I returned to Canada, published three books, "murder", "The Black Bird", and "Making Movies". Our family increased to 5 with the birth of two beautiful girls. The company I worked for went bankrupt. The next company I worked for layed me off after four years while I was on vacation. I have no love for capitalism. I am now poor and very thirsty. |
