| Looking glass of Soliloquy A warrior not am I, A thousand times defeated facing battle again, Through the window the desolate land against the red sky The silhouette of one whom comes to fight Darkened corner of the fortress I tremble, Hearing the sound of the enemy approach Drawing my sword and crossing myself My foe just out side the door, Calls The voice, A shadowed dream long ago Sends shivers down my spine, The door crashes, I stand wearily to fight Once more, This face familiar from the past, scared from my blade Resurrects faded memories to life Slivers of the shattered looking glass on the floor I had put you to death my friend, Yet here you are again With your sword and dark eyes, Thrust into me, I only see myself Ive lost, But, Ive won, I know now Early morning rain, Falling slivers of the looking glass in my mind, Coffee and a smoke, I step outside, To face the day, Alone, Sometimes, I wander if the church gives credit to the devil, For the things that men do on there own, I have won, And a warrior not Am I By Kenneth R.
