| Congratulations! You've entered the Official Pinecone Ball website. Pinecone Ball was invented at the Illinios Summer Training Program in the summer of 2004. The game evolved from the game of Frisbee Ball which was invented at the same Sprog. It has now been adopted by the Midwest Region SSC as its official game. The game is played with any nuber of players. Bases are placed as in baseball except that homeplate is the bat. The bat is actually a tennis or badmitten raquet. A large number of pinecones are used instead of baseballs. RULES 1. The game must be played on a hill. 2. Every man or woman for his/her self. 3. The "bat" (homeplate) may be carried with runner as long as he or she remains in motion. 4. Bases can be run in any order. 5. All bases must be touched in order to score a run. 6. A runner stationed on a base may either be on deffense or offense. 7. Bases may be picked up, moved, hidden, etc. anytime after the "ball" is in play. 8. Bases can be stolen (both literally and figuratively) at any time in the game. 9. Rules can be added at anytime in the game 10. Andrew Hunt has final say on rules |
