Coach
Marlin, you seem so young. What kind of coaching/swimming experience
do you have?
With
a father in the Navy, I was trained to swim before I could walk! I swam
competitively in Houston for eight years in Klein ISD, Houston Swim
Club, Raveneaux Country Club and then Stavanger International School
in Norway. I have worked as a certified life guard for eight years,
complete with CPR training. I have coached as an assistant swim coach
at Raveneaux Country Club for two years and as head coach for one year.
I received my bachelor's degree in Education and Human Performance (coaching)
from Baylor University in 2002. I served as an assistant coach in Houston's
Spring ISD for one year and then assistant coach here at Midway from
2003-2004. In addition to swimming, I have coached basketball and soccer
from the elementary level through collegiate recreational teams.
