Message Board Rules (Please read through before posting on the board):

1. To join the message board, you must be a member of the lodging house. Once your application to join the lodging house has been submitted and approved, your character(s) will be given accounts on the board, and the username and passwords will be sent to you directly from the site. I won't ever receive your password, so all your information will go directly to you. I will only be creating the accounts for you (not the passwords), and I only do this to avoid getting anonymous posters who harass the boards, or spammers.

2. You will be given an account for each character, and you are expected to use each one. It saves everyone the hassle of trying to figure out which character you're using at which time.

3. If you have a question for me, feel free to send an Instant Message over the board to Mr. Jones. The IM feature on the board is quite handy, and it will save you some inbox space in your email account. Also, this would be a nice feature to use if you wanted to write an in-character letter to another character. Hint, hint. But we'll let your creative juices flow freely on that one.

4. Board Grammar and Etiquette
For all of these, the first time will be corrected, and you will not receive any sort of notice. The second time, the post will again be corrected, but this time you will receive a notice, letting you know the error and that you have done it twice. Three times, and you and I will have a discussion about it. Different actions may be taken, depending on circumstance.

- Stay in past tense. The majority is used to past tense, and as usual, majority rules. So, past tense.
-Don't play another characters action, unless it's your own or you have full permission from the player. Seriously. You have no control over anyone else's character, and this is the fastest way to upset someone.
-Don't use the word "I" outside of when a character is speaking. The board RP's are not narrated by your character, and thus, the world 'I' should never appear anywhere but OOC notes and dialogue.
-Feel free to use different colors and fonts for your posts. It will help other lodgers distinguish your character from others. Just use common sense, and make sure people can read it.
-NO NETSPEAK. EVER. Just don't do it. Okay?

5. Content on the message boards must remain at PG-13 level or below if unmarked. That means mild swearing, hinting towards sexual situations, and some violence is allowed. Just don't go overboard, please be considerate of others. If the thread is above PG-13, that's okay, but mark in the subject line what its rating is.

6. When speaking in OOC (out of character), please use (( )) around your OOC statement, and put it at the bottom of your post, below your IC (in character) stuff.
