So, what do people call you? Why?  Munk! It's a long story, but I'll summarize. See, when I was 'bout seven, I had this pet chipmunk. Don't ask me how I tamed it, just be glad to know I still have all ten fingers. He was on my shoulder all the time and I even stuck him with me to bed. All the boys on the street started to call me Chipmunk and it just stuck. Well I got older and Chipmunk began to sound too...cute. So I shortened it to Munk. With a U, not an O. What happened to the chipmunk? Hah. Now that's a long story.

And your real name?  Ryan Sunders.  S'alright, but just stick to Munk.

Do you know your birthday? What about age?  I'm sixteen and my birthday is July 3'rd.

All right, how about a physical description. It's for the records.  Last time I checked, I was six foot two. A nice height, if I do say so myself. I got four eyes (that's glasses), and the stupidest grin ever. I swear, I didn't realize how stupid it was till I happened to look in the mirror while laughing. I don't care much for my hair, it's almost orange and long enough for me to ran a hand through it when I'm frustrated (but I don't do that much 'cause then I realize how tangly it is and I don't really wanna comb it). I consider myself an average lookin' fellow, not bigheaded handsome, but I ain't ugly. And...what else? My eyes are boring and brown. I'm kind of skinny. But I got some muscles from working at the docks for a couple summers. I think that's it.

How would you describe your personality?  Laid-back. I really don't care about half the things girls do and I don't get fired up about half the things guys do. I love to laugh and make other people laugh. I guess I'm outgoing. I like to know who everyone is and how their doing and stuff. And friends are really what I treasure most.

Have any hobbies? You must enjoy some things in this city.  I like going down the racetrack occasionally and watching the horses, but I don't bet 'cause I always lose my money when I do. And I know this is kind of silly, but I love flying kites in the park. That is, when I can afford a kite or else borrow one from some kid. It's fun to have contests and see who can get their kite the highest.

Or bad habits? We all have them.  I'm really bad at staying on top of things I have do. I procrastinate a lot. I didn't do too well in school when I was there 'cause I couldn't make myself do the homework. Even when people ask me things, I usually forget.

I know this usually isn't the most pleasant of topics, but where did you come from? What can you remember about your past?  Oh psh, I don't mind. I ain't got the greatest tragedy around. About five years ago, I ran away from my dad who was going insane and this horrible lady who dared to call herself my step-mother. It was just a bad situation, not a good place to grow up in, so I left. That was on Long Island. I've been wandering the streets doing odd jobs ever since.

Why did you choose this establishment? I always liked this question.  Well, I want to try being a newsie here and this was the first establishment I came to that looked pretty decent. You don't cost too much, do ya?

Know anyone here? Or in the city for that matter? I mean friends of course.  I got friends everywhere, just 'cause I've been practically everywhere. Different harbors and docks, a few theaters, all the boroughs except Queens, etc.... But I'd say my closest friends are at the harbors just 'cause I've worked there so much.

What about enemies? Make any along the way yet?  You'd be surprised, knowing how likable and outgoing I am, but yes! There's this kid named Drips in Brooklyn, we've been at it ever since we were ten. A girl named Knives in Manhattan says I stole her best slingshot and makes sure when I am around that I don't step one foot in her territory. That's all of them, at least those that I'm aware of.

Any significant other, or possibility of such? Again, it's for the records.  Nah. I'm not really romantic. And at this age, girls just cause drama and stupid fights. I'm sure I'll meet the right one someday though!

Where might you spend some time when not selling your papes?  The park, the harbors/docks, some cheap theater, the racetrack, etc. Any place that offers some cheap, quality entertainment, I'm there.

Is there anything else you would like to add?  Well, I got this dog, his name is Pup, and he's not that big. I don't 'spect you'll let him in, but you might see him hanging around here. I hope ya don't mind.
