Sufism has turned into a political movement which has helped Muslims gain freedom from colonization. This site is an excellent editorial from a very prominent Muslim scholor.

This association was founded in 1983 by Seyedeh Dr. Nahid Angha and Shah Nazar Seyed Dr. Ali Kianfar. It is a non-profit organization whose goal is to "introduce Sufism in all its varied forms to the public, to make known the interrelation between Sufi principles and scientific principles, to provide a forum for a continuing dialogue between the different schools of Sufism, and to preserve and advance the study and goals of Sufism." When we looked at the site, we felt that Sufism is alive and well, back into its golden age.

This is an online journal of Sufism. It is an excellent site which collaborates on modern Sufi thought. It is interesting to note that modern Sufism has gained another aspect to it, Science. The site also has an excellent list of bibliographies which provide more insight on modern Sufism.
