A Period of Time
By: George B.
I am haunted by your overcast eyes
Fall's umber leaves descending in silence
To me your soulful glance could not disguise
Cold feelings in one's heart lovers can sense
As crystals form from winter's chilling breath
My sweet hopes barden into icy doubts
And push my cherished desires near death
But hope and life like Spring renews, reroutes
The course of love and its inclination
Emotions budding unfolding yearning
Loving and wanting; burning devotion
Yet summer cools and gives love and ending
Over and over love like seasons changes
I strive to survive loves harsh exchanges
