Summary:
In the woods near Marshwood a tramp has been bludgeoned to death while Barnaby was on holiday to France, and Superintendent Ronald Pringle has made an arrest - a young local. But then people start dying rapidly in Marshwood - including Ron Pringle - but before the killer is caught, they kill themselves...
