BLUE HERRINGS
First Broadcast: January 22, 2000
| Barnaby takes time off work to start work in his new home with Joyce. He also has plenty of time to visit his Aunt Alice Bly, who has been moved to the Lawnside nursing home to recover from a recent operation. However much he is greeted by his aunt, she tells him of a death the previous night when Muriel Harrap died suspiciously and fell out of the lift. Alice also explains to Barnaby that George, another old resident, has been telling the others stories which may lead some to think there is foul play inside the home. |
| Alice was unfortunate seeing a young man run away from the house as well, just before Muriel's body was found. It becomes clear that he was visiting one of the nurses. |
| Could
he be the killer? But is the death even suspicious? Barnaby's long week
could be enough to prove his aunt there is nothing suspicious going on.
