    Roland GS Karaoke Player

Roland GS Karaoke Player is a jukebox-style SMF player. You can request 
the desired songs for consecutive playback, and register your favorite 
songs as a collection.


[Add-On Software]

Roland GS Karaoke Player carries Roland GS Software Synthesizer (Built-
In Type) as the Add-On Software.

Roland GS Software Synthesizer (Built-In Type) plays sounds with your 
computer's CPU acting as a MIDI sound generator. This Software 
Synthesizer is compatible with both the General MIDI System and the GS 
format(developed by Roland). Music files in compliance with the General 
MIDI System/GS Format can be played on Roland GS Karaoke Player with 
Roland GS Software Synthesizer (Built-In Type).

  * Roland GS Software Synthesizer (Built-In Type) Specifications:
	Number of parts: 16
	Maximum polyphony: 128
	    (This may vary according to your computer's specifications.)
	Number of sounds: 226 sounds + 9 drum sets
	Effects: Reverb, Chorus
	Audio output: 16bit stereo, 22.05, 11.025kHz sampling rate


[System Requirements]

  * Operating System:
	Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows 98
  * Computer:
	IBM PC or compatible computers
	* You cannot use Roland GS Software Synthesizer (VSC-55/VSC-88, 
	  or Built-In Type) with MWave audio device which is equipped 
	  on IBM PC.
  * CPU/Clock:
	Pentium processor 166MHz or higher
  * Memory(RAM):
	16MB or more (32MB or more recommended)
  * Hard Disk:
	30MB of free space
  * Resolution/Colors of Display:
	640x480 or higher/256 colors or higher
  * Audio Device:
	A built-in sound device or a sound card supporting Windows
	(16bit stereo, 22.05, 11.025kHz sampling rate)

* Although Roland has tested numerous configurations, and has 
determined that on average, a computer system similar to that described 
above will permit normal operation of Roland GS Karaoke Player, Roland 
cannot guarantee that a given computer can be used satisfactorily with 
Roland GS Karaoke Player based solely on the fact that it meets the 
above requirements. This is because there are too many other variables 
that may influence the processing environment, including differences in 
motherboard design and the particular combination of other devices 
involved.


[Installation]

Run the InstJp4i.exe, the installer then starts up. Follow the instructions 
in the setup window to install Roland GS Karaoke Player.


[Uninstallation]

Selecting "My Computer," "Control Panel," then "Add/Remove Programs," 
go on to select Roland GS Karaoke Player, and press the "Add/Remove" 
button.
