| SERVICE CAREER of CSM Arthur F. Peete Command Sergeant Major Arthur F. Peete was born in Sledge, Mississippi, on 3 August 1955. He was raised in Atoka, Tennessee, and entered the U.S. Army on 2 February 1973. He attended basic combat training and advanced individual training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He later attended the Air Assault Course at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and the Battle Staff Course at Fort Bliss, Texas. Highlights in Command Sergeant Major Peete�s career include light wheeled vehicle driver, 53d Transportation Battalion, Kaiserslautern, Germany; Training Noncommissioned Officer, Reenlistment Noncommissioned Officer, Instructor and Squad Leader, 29th Transportation Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Platoon Sergeant, 534th Engineer Company, Grafenwoer, Germany; Drill Sergeant, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; and First Sergeant, 11th Heavy Equipment Transportation Company, 4th Transportation Battalion during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Command Sergeant Major Peete served as Command Sergeant Major, 14th Transportation Battalion, Vicenza, Italy and Command Sergeant Major, 71st Transportation Battalion, Fort Eustis, Virginia and as Commandant for the Fort Eustis Noncommissioned Officer Academy. Command Sergeant Major Peete, also served as the Command Sergeant Major of the 28th Transportation Battalion, Mannheim, Germany and 37th Transportation Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany. Command Sergeant Major Peete currently leads the 21st Theater Support Command. Command Sergeant Major Peete has attended numerous military and civilian schools and universities. He graduated from the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas, in 1994. He received his associates degree in General Studies from Central Texas College in 1990. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, 3d OLC; the Army Commendation Medal, 4th OLC; the Army Achievement Medal, 1st OLC, the Army Good Conduct Medal, 8th Awd; the National Defense Service Medal, with star; the Southwest Asia Medal; the Kuwait Liberation Medal; the U. S. Army Drill Sergeant Badge; the U.S. Army Air Assault Badge; and the German Sch�tzenschnur Weapons Qualification Badge, Silver Awd. Command Sergeant Major Peete is married to the former Daniela S. Fischer of Boblingen, Germany. They have three children, Adam, Janelle and Angelina. |
