| Chapter By-Laws CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS OF THE MID-PALATINATE CHAPTER Association of the United States Army (AUSA) ARTICLE I -----------------------------------TITLE ARTICLE 1 �TITLE Section 1. This organization shall be known as the Mid-Palatinate Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). Section 2. The Mid-Palatinate Chapter shall operate with the approval of the 415th Base Support Battalion (BSB) Commander, Kaiserslautern Military Community, APO AE 09227, hereinafter referred to as the Approving Authority. Section 3. A. This organization is established according to DOD instructions 1000.15. B. This organization is not an instrumentality of the United States, will be self-sustaining, and may not receive financial assistance from the U.S. Army or non-appropriated funds. The Mid-Palatinate chapter will not in any way duplicate or compete with a non-appropriated fund instrumentality operation or appropriated fund government function. It shall be self-sustaining and does not receive financial assistance from the Army or Non-Appropriated funds. Section 4. Neither the Department of the Army, nor the U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR) will assume any responsibility for the organizations debts. The laws of our host nation, Germany, will govern all approved chapter activities off military installations. Mid-Palatinate chapter accepts the responsibility of compliance with local labor and tax laws where applicable. Section 5. All members are required to read the Constitution and By-laws upon joining the Mid-Palatinate chapter. The members may be personally liable to creditors if the assets of this organization are insufficient to discharge all liabilities. |
