How do you start your own company you? That's
a question a lot of people ask themselves when they start to doubt
thier own employers. A lot of people these days are looking for an
easier way of life. You start to realize, being a Graphics Designer,
that you can do a lot of the work yourself.
However, one thing that you
must think about when being a Freelancer, is that there is a lot of
work involved. A
lot more than you would think there would be. You need to do your own
financing, marketing coordination, budgeting, and the buying and selling
of your own software. This can be expensive. On the other hand, having
your own company, you can write a lot of this stuff off on your taxes.
Always make sure your company is registered though before you do this.
If your company is not registered, you may not qualify for a return
on your taxes. It is always a good idea to have your company's name
listed in the Better Business Bureu's website as well. This way people
can check and make sure that you are a good company to work with.
This brings us back to the
hard work and self-sacrifice. What would you give up to have your
own business? Would you leave your family behind for a full night
of hard work at the computer? Many people face the conflict of not
having enough money to fund their company and go broke before their
dreams come true. It is my suggestion to anyone out there considering
going into business for themselves to examine all possibilities.
Make sure you have the finances available, the neccessary amount
of time, a good head on your shoulders, and a family that is understanding
of your goals and dreams. With all this said, it's a tough decision.
It could make you well-off, or put you in the poor house depending
on your decisions. Good luck to anyone who tries!
