* If you desire detailed portrait backgrounds- (ie; grass, blanket, furniture or scenery) it may be an extra charge depending on complexity.
How to
Begin...
1. For Pet and Human
Portraits I will need several photos, if possible. A few of the face and eyes -
preferably taken in daylight or outdoors. Don't worry if the eyes "flash" white.
I can see past that. The clearer the photos, the better. Look through your
pictures and see if you find a favorite or two; something showing what is
special about your loved one. I can
work with digital photos or regular photos.
For Role Play Character portraits
I will need a very detailed written description.
2. Decide what size portrait you would like.
(Auction winners will always get 8x10s but may upgrade to a larger size portrait
if they wish to pay the extra cost.) I will need the photos and payment to begin
work on your portrait. Because
drawing a portrait is a large time commitment on my part, I ask for payment in
full to ensure the sincerity of the request. I do not deposit your payment
until you have received and are 100% satisfied with your portrait.
For commissions at and
above the $50 level, if you'd feel more comfortable making your payment in two
installations (half at the beginning, half at the end) that's fine.
3. When the portrait is completed I will send you an
email with a digital image of the drawing or painting attached. Upon
your final approval of the work and payment in full, the finished
portrait and your original photos would be shipped to you.
Shipping inside the US is $5.00, and $6.00 inside Canada. International shipping will be $6.50. I ship all my images sandwiched between two layers of cardboard to prevent bending.
