You glance around the dark and mostly deserted weyr. It is biting cool and dark for the middle of the day. Do you stop to help the few dragonriders defend North Hold? Or do you decide to jump between and not return?
High in the mountains slightly past the northern barrier lies the small North hold and its weyr, Midnight Weyr. It is the 5th pass and thread almost distroyed North Hold. So a few dragonriders bravely took over and built Midnight Weyr. It is freezing cold and there are not nearly enough dragonriders, but they have so far kept the thread off of North hold. They are ever searchng new candidates and dragonriders to keep North Hold safe.
