AN: Geez...would I leave A/M hangin like that? ****************************** Sketchy & Frisky Chapter 3: Special Delivery No matter how much she tried, everytime Misao saw the color blue she felt a sickening guilt in her stomach and the overwhelming urge to sob. She could still feel warm lips, hands, a murmur against her ear, the silken feel of his hair.. and in one stupid moment of panic she had pushed him out of her life for good. The worse was when she wondered if perhaps he had truly WANTED to be in her life, and not just some one-night stand. She never let it be sort out. Now a week later there she was sulking around. She hadn't spoken to Kaoru about her little 'tryst' with the Blue Velvet Stud. Instead she had gone to last person anyone would have expected. Sanosuke. She had asked him to lunch, and he knew something was up when she offered it to be on her. If anyone was as stingy as Sano, it was Misao. He had eyed her speculatively at their table at the Akabeko where she nervously bit into her okonomiyaki and glanced at him warily. "Sano..I...erm..have a problem." she said meekly, glancing at her plate. "Oh? You're not coming out or anything are ya?" he said blinking. Misao narrowed her eyes and tossed her chopstick at Sano. "No you baka! I'm as straight as they come! Erm...it's a problem with a guy...." Sano leaned forward, his interest piquing. "Ohhhhhh? Love troubles in Weasel World? Do share!" Misao sighed, and wrung her hands in her lap and nibbled on her lip pensively. How was she to put it? 'Gee Sano, you know your pal Aoshi? Yeah, well we ended up going at it and then I gave him the boot?' "I'm waiting Makimachi. I don't have all day." "Oh please. You've been sitting on your ass all day and you know you plan on doing that when we leave." "My ass is a commodity, thank you. Many of yer fellow artists enjoy it." Misao groaned and hit her head lightly against the table in annoyance. Perhaps coming to Sano for advice was not a good idea after all, but he was the closest to a neutral party and he did know both of them. Asking Kenshin would have been too many 'oro's and Misao wasn't in the mood. "Weasel, how the fuck am I supposed to be of help if you won't tell me what's up?" Sano asked, biting into his pork bun hungrily. Misao growled and slammed her palms against the table. "I had sex with Aoshi and then I kicked him out of my house afterwards!" she vented, then blinked as Sano stared at her blankly, as did other customers. "Woaaaah...you and Ice man? Geez.." Sano murmured, surprised. He had a feeling Aoshi had developed a bit of a thing for Misao..but he never expected that! "Okay, so he was modeling for me and it was a little nerve-wraking but soon we got comfortable and got to know each other and then he was going to leave soon and....things happened. One minute he was posing, next...." "I get the picture." Sano said, holding a hand up to stop her from continuing. "But then I freaked out and kicked him out and I feel like crap now. I haven't seen him since. Ugh, Sano! What do I do?! I didn't want things to be like that but I panicked. I really fucked up here." "Well fucking was probably your first mistake. Wow, I never pegged you for the type. No wonder Aoshi's been extra broody lately." Misao blinked. "He is?" "Yep. Now I know why. Shit Weasel, you really put yourself out on a ledge." "I knooooooooooow. And I feel so bad cuz he was really a nice guy and I don't want him thinking I used him or something." "Is that all? Do you like him?" Misao blushed, and looked away sighing. "I think I do, but he probably hates me now." she murmured. Sano chuckled and finished his pork bun. "Oh I don't he hates you. Fuck with his mopey behavior I think it's the opposite. Shinomori's not the 'fuck em and leave em' type. He must have REALLY liked you cuz the guy is practically emotionless." "I didn't think so." "Hmmmm...then you saw a side of him he doesn't usually show. Maybe you should just show up on his doorstep naked or something. I'm sure he'd get over it then." "What?! Are you insane?!" "It was a suggestion." "You are an idiot, Sagara." "Che, look who's talking. Anyway, if you want I can set up a meeting for you two, but I'd wait a few more days till his PMS mood clears up." Misao nodded, and exhaled in relief. "Thanks, Sano." "No prob Weasel Girl, or should I say Weasel Woman?" Sano began, making a melodramatic sobbing noise, "You're a woman now after all!" Misao grumbled and kicked his shin hard under the table. ************************** Adjusting the rim of his reading glasses, Aoshi looked at the paper before him and continued scribing notes from his seat at a large lab table covered in papers and artifacts. He was dressed in a black Dockers and a black shirt with a white lab coat over it. "Shinomori, how are those notes coming along?" Hiko-sensei asked, turning from his position at his laptop. Aside from teaching Ceramics, Hiko was also head of the Archaeology department and often when into the field for samples. Currently cataloging recently found Meiji era pieces, it was apparent the pieces belonged to a shinobi group famous in Kyoto a century ago. Aoshi was his new lab assistant, and Hiko was thankful for the help even if he didn't admit it. "Almost finished, sensei." Aoshi replied. "Good, I'm hoping to get this set done by the end of the week before the break. God knows I need the time off." Hiko-sensei muttered gruffly. 'Sure, to drown yourself in sake.' Aoshi thought. Aside from being arrogant, Hiko-sensei was also the biggest sake drinkers Aoshi had ever met. Someone who didn't know better would think he didn't seem drunk. But those who knew better, it was more of perhaps he was never sober. But still, he was smart and did good work..if not unconventially. Aoshi was just thankful to not be one of his students. It was always 'dumb student' this and that. "The office should be having some more documents sent over to us sometime soon so hopefully we can take a lunch break when the messenger gets here." Aoshi lifted his head up. Messenger... He pictured ocean blue eyes....clear with focus, clouded in confusion.....burning with passion and desire. Misao. He wanted to be angry at her, but he just couldn't. Something about her made him just want to hold her more and never let her go. "Why then?" Aoshi asked. "Cuz if they send who I hope, we'll get free lunch. Ass-kissing students do have their advantages." "Aa..I suppose." Aoshi mumbled and went back to work. He found himself shifting uncomfortably on the stool as his thoughts went back to Misao and how her skin felt against his, how is tasted, the sounds of her gasps and moans, the feel of her beneath him... He groaned silently as he felt himself harden and gripped his pen for dear life as he tried to calm himself down. He closed his eyes and focused, imagining rain, freezing lakes... It wasn't helping in the least. 'I must think of something so un-attractive...like...like...' He pictured Saitoh then, and made a soft 'gyah!' sound and felt himself calming. 'Leave it to that wolf to turn anyone off.' he bemused. It was then that a loud, female voice singing could be heard along with the sound of squeaking like..rollerblades? "Nozomu no nara oikaketekite ano kuchizuke wa akai tattoo sadame no yokoku itamu tattoo watashi ni nara kudakechiru made kuchibiru gata ni kizamu tatoo kakusenai wa anata It's Moon Revenge..wooooooo' SKIDD! KNOCK! "Oi Oi Dr. Drunk!! Got a a delivery!" Aoshi stood up quickly from the stool, instantly recognizing the voice. Hiko chuckled and opened the door as Misao wheeled in it what appeared to be a pair of sneakers that could turn into rollerblades. The minute she saw Aoshi she made a 'gyah' noise and fell crashing to the ground. Hiko arched an eyebrow and looked over to Aoshi. "You really do stop women dead in their tracks. She falling at your feet." "Shut up, sensei." Aoshi muttered and helped Misao up who was blinking. "Wha..what are you doing here?!" she asked. Aoshi smirked. "I work here as a lab assistant, that job that wasn't starting for a week remember?" She blinked again. "I take it you two know each other?" Hiko asked, picking up the papers Misao had dropped that were for him. "VERY well." Aoshi replied, and tightened his hold on Misao's waist causing her to silently 'eep'. "Makimachi, did you bring any lunch for your favorite sensei today?" Hiko asked, setting the papers down and shrugging his coat off. "Sorry, didn't have time! I had to lug a freaking set of moniters to the business building since God forbid the future pencil pushers of Japan lift a damn finger." "By yourself?" Aoshi asked surprised. "Don't let Makimachi's size fool you, Shinomori. This girl's got hidden strength." "Damn right!" Misao said, flexing her arm muscle while trying to hold back from blushing at Aoshi's arm that remained at her waist. "Well in that case I'm off to the cafeteria, will you be joining me Shinomori?" Hiko asked. Aoshi shook his head and Misao gulped. "Well in that case don't break anything." And with that Hiko left and shut the door behind them. After a moment's silence, Misao cleared her throat. "Um, Aoshi I really want to apologize for how I beha.." Before she could even finish his lips slammed against hers in a fiery kiss that made her moan as he pressed her tighter to him until finally he staggered them over towards the counter and lifted Misao up to the counter as he stood still, Misao wrapping her legs around him. "I missed you...I was pissed at you for a while and thought you used me, but even so I wanted to see you again." he murmured huskily against her ear before tugging on her sensitive earlobe with her teeth. "Aoshi..this is..crazy..." she whispered. "You and me? Perhaps, but I think it's worth trying." "I agree, I've been feeling horrible since I just kicked you out..but actually what I meant was..this is crazy!" she said, gesturing to their position. Aoshi grinned. "Oh trust me, this is fine." he practically purred out as his hands began tugging at the fabric of her shirt. "Um, how much time do we have?" Misao asked. "Enough, PLENTY enough." And there wasn't much talking for quite a while. Forty minutes later.... "Wooooooow..." Misao exclaimed softly, her head resting against Aoshi's shoulder as they laid together on the table, Aoshi's notes and their clothes scattered across the floor. "Mmm..wow indeed." Aoshi mumbled, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "Talk about a special delivery." "Mmm hmmm...nothing a quickie on a lunch break." Misao's eyes widened. "Forty minutes is a quickie to you? Oh my..." "Yes, I know. I definitely think I'm definitely going to have to get all to myself for a night." "Sounds like a plan, but we REALLY should get dressed and clean up before the Lushinator gets back." Aoshi grumlbed softly and Misao laughed. "Hey he's not too bad to work for." Misao murmured. "Yeah right, you don't work for him." Getting up reluctantly, they got dressed and straightened up as Hiko came back fifteen minutes later. "Have a good break?" he asked, and Aoshi and Misao merely smiled. "Misao's excellent company." Aoshi merely said, and discreetly gave Misao's hip a carress and she felt something tucked into the waistband of her underwear. "Well that's great and all but you and I have work so Makimachi, time to say bye." "I was just leaving!" Misao said, putting the wheels back down on her sneakers and rolled out of the lab. Stopping, she pulled out the small piece of paper. 'Tonight. My place. Bring the velvet. Address on back. Love, Aoshi.' Love...Misao giggled and rolled off laughing. Yep, she definitely was falling in love and the best part was...so was he. "Velvet, huh? Good thing I kept it." she smiled. ************************* THE END! Ah, and so ends Sketchy Frisky. Did YOU ALL REALLLLLLLLLLLLLY think I'd leave them all broken hearted? HELL NO! I'm a rabid AM fangirl! The song Misao was singing was 'Moon Revenge' from the Sailormoon R Movie. I know it by heart. Teehee. Off to get iced coffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
