Author’s Notes::mimicking Shuuichi:: La hi doooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well everyone, I’m winding down to end of Winter Break, and in T-Minus 5 days I go back to college. Not that it’s a big deal, it’s not like I have to move or anything, I sadly sadly live at home. ::eats Lipton(?) Asian Sides Thai Noodles:: Omg, it’s now 4:48 pm and the last thing I ate was as 10:30 am and it was a crappy bagel to go with my yummy Vanilla Chai. I’m feeling better now that I ate. Ah well, it was worth it to spend time with my friend G Girl Moon aka Usagi-chan. Not ONLY has she been made an honorary gay man, but she’s also a uke! She is! She’s proud to be the uke of her pseudo yuri relationship with her best bud G Girl Venus aka Minako-chan. But that’s ok, I wuv Usagi-chan! She’s provided me with some GREAT comedic fodder! Even if she hates Tuxedo Kamen and loves that rat-boy/girl Seiya Kou ::hisses at Seiya:: ANYWAY....a lot of people are giving me credit for having the cajones to incorporate the Kyoto arc....yea...well......enjoy it while it lasted..eheh..it OFFICIALLY ENDS NOW!! MAUHAHAHA! Let me put it this way, you all know what happened and I want to get this story back on track to how I want it to go. ******************************************** Chapter V: The Lament of Bloomers “Oh dammit, ow!” Misao groaned, as she massaged her ribs through the white hospital gown as she walked down the hallway. She knew the nurses were going to be pissed that she hadn’t stayed in bed, but after being cooped in the hospital for five weeks it was becoming routine. She closed her eyes and sighed, recalling the events that had passed. The Aoiya. She and the Oniwabanshuu had fought Hennya, Kamatari, and Fuji the giant. Kaoru and Yahiko had helped too. The Aoiya had received a lot of damage, and repairs were already beginning under Okina’s watchful eye. Okon, Omasu, Shiro, and Kuro luckily only got a couple scrapes and bruises where as Yahiko had a couple sprains and a fractured wrist. Kaoru had lots of bruises and cuts, but seemed to be okay. Misao however, had gotten the most injured in that fight. Several bruises, cuts, a severe ankle sprain, and to top it off, three broken ribs. She was just glad the other side had taken worse injury. Kamatari had a broken knee, Hennya a discolated shoulder, Fuji had a couple broken bones.... She removed her hand from her ribs and walked on. She had heard the reports, of the fight with Shishio. Soujiro had disappeared, as had Anji, Usui was dead, Chou was in police custody, Houji was dead, and Shishio...dead also. He had burnt by his own means. Because he had no sweat glands, his body generated incredible degrees of heat, and ultimately burned him to death. Misao had heard...that while Saitoh and Kenshin had done most of the work...Aoshi...Aoshi had helped a great deal. She bit her lip and walked on, pausing before a door. Kenshin had kept his promise. He had brought Aoshi back. She didn’t know the exact details of how, but he was back. Hesitating no more, she opened the door and walked in, shutting it behind her. She made her way over the chair next to the bed and sat, her eyes gazing over his form. Aoshi had a good amount of bruises and fractures, and rather large scar across his chest from Kenshin. But Misao knew that the physical scars didn’t match the emotional ones he had suffered. She saw his eyes were closed, but he was not asleep. “Aoshi-sama, what did Hiko say?” she asked quietly. Upon returning, Hiko had to use every connection he had to keep Aoshi from being put in jail. He didn’t want to see his “favorite frozen fuzz” behind bars. This meant Hiko once again death threating Saitoh, who for his part seemed nonchalant about it. “I don’t give a damn what you do with Shinomori. I’m going for a smoke.” were his words exactly. While he wasn’t going to be arrested, Aoshi was unfortunately, suspended for six weeks without pay and upon returning was going to be given smaller cases. “He said he expects both you and I back at work next week.” Aoshi murmured. “Oh? Geez, I guess he’s just got loads of phone taps for us to do.” she said sarcastically, crossing her arms, then wincing. Her ribs still ached a lotttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt despite being a fast healer. “How are you feeling, Misao?” he asked suddenly, opening his eyes. “Fine, my ribs just ache every now and then, but they gave me stuff for them so it’s not so bad.” she said with a sigh. “Aa.” he replied. Sadly, Aoshi had introverted more into himself, becoming even QUIETER. Misao understood though, he felt so guilty for everything. He still seemed surprised that everyone had forgiven so easily, especially Okina and herself. “How are you doing, Aoshi-sama?” she asked, resting her chin in her hand. “Fine.” he replied simply, glancing out the window. Misao closed her eyes, her smile waning. ‘Why don’t you...why can’t we seem to understand each other?’ she thought sadly. “Aoshi-sama...it’s okay you know.” she murmured. “What is?” he asked, surprised as his gaze returned to hers. “You’ve already gotten injured enough as it is. Stop beating yourself up.” she said quietly, opening her eyes. Aoshi was taken aback by her words. ‘Misao....how did you know that?’ he thought. “Misao, what I did...it was..” “It wasn’t your fault, Aoshi-sama.” she said, interrupting him, “If I had been in your place...I’m not sure what I would have done. No one blames you and I mean it! We all understand why you did what you did so stop pushing everyone away.” she said, her face serious. Aoshi looked at her, mouth slightly agape. Her eyes were so passionate as she said that, so pleading. So serious. “Or else I’m going to personally kick your ass.” she murmured, a small smile playing at her lips. Now that was the Misao he knew. “I don’t think so.” he murmured. “Hey, even with busted ribs...” “No that’s not why. It’s because I’m a better fighter.” he said. Misao blinked a couple times then laughed. “Aoshi-sama! Modest aren’t we? But seriously...I’m really happy you’re okay. Promise me you won’t make me worry about you like that EVER again.” He closed his eyes and sighed. “Aa. I promise.” “GREAT! So now, when we go back to work will you stop this lone wolf bull shit already? I’m here to stay, Aoshi-sama, you got that?!” she exclaimed, arching an eyebrow. He nodded a reply and laid his head back. “Well, I better get back to my room before the nurses bitch at me. Get some rest.” “Aa.” And with that she left. Aoshi turned on his side and glanced at the door. ‘I’m here to stay.’ Her words rang through his head for a long time until he finally succumbed to sleep. ********************* “Welcome back, kids! I would like to say we missed you all, but seeing as we actually have tea for a change...” Hiko trailed off, smirking from behind his desk. Aoshi and Misao sat in the two chairs across from him. “So boss man, what fun-lacking assignments are you sending our way? Crossing guard duty! Or no wait, let me guess!!! Monitoring phone taps?” Misao asked, faking enthusiasm. Aoshi rubbed the bridge of his nose while Hiko simply chuckled and sipped some of his coffee. “Actually, your next assignment is to investigate an illegal gambling ring at one Jenius Gakuen.” Hiko said, holding out the file, which Aoshi managed to grab before Misao could. “Jenius Gakuen? That’s a pretty high class school. Damn rich kids, they have no respect for money.” Misao grumbled. “Maybe not, but they also seem to have a lack of regard for the law. I want you two to go undercover and bust the little brats.” “Oh? Sounds kind of interesting.” Misao murmured, her arm reach other for Aoshi to hand her the file. As her fingers kept twitching mid-air he finally relented the case file. “Glad you think so Makimachi, since you’re going undercover as a student.” “WhAT?!” she screeched, looking up from the case file. “Don’t what me. It’s not my fault you can pass for sixteen.” Hiko murmured, taking a larger sip of coffee. Ah...Kaluha... “Now wait just one damn minute! I DO NOT LOOK SIXTEEN!!!! Right Aoshi-sama? Right?” she asked, turning to face him. He didn’t reply, simply sat there all stoic and quiet, arms crossed. “And what am I supposed to be?” Aoshi asked. “Shinomori-sensei, Jenius’ newest gym teacher...oh and by the way, to make it more creditable I told the principal you were posing as siblings.” “What? What? WHAT?!!!” Misao screeched, her annoyance level shooting up more. She was picturing Hiko’s head as such a good dartboard. “It would be suspicious to have both a new transfer student and teacher at once, Misao. Hiko’s cover makes sense.” “Whatever you say, Aoshi-nii-sama!” she said sarcastically. Was EVERYTHING trying to piss her off today? First no vanilla chai, second Aoshi was being 90% mute, her computer was freezing making her yearn for her laptop, her pain medication was taking it’s sweet time and on top of that she had PMS. Oh yeah, it was safe to assume Makimachi Misao was a ticking time bomb waiting to blow. As they left Hiko’s office Aoshi heard Misao grumbling, ‘What next?’, making him wonder if maybe she was having a bad day. He pushed that thought aside as he saw the break room ahead. ‘Tea...’ And for the next five minutes Aoshi was utterly useless to the world. ******** “Everyone I would like you all to welcome our new arrivals here at Jenius Gakuen!” Principal Hayama said enthusiastically. He was in his thirties with blue hair and glasses and was very popular with the female faculty. “I’d like to introduce first Shinomori Aoshi.” Hayama-sensei said, moving for Aoshi to speak as was protocol for teacher/student arrivals. “Thank you Hayama-sensei. I’m Shinomori Aoshi and I will be teaching gym. Nice to meet you all.” he said calmly as the female students swooned. Misao’s eye twitched. ‘Damn hussies!’ she thought vehemently. But she did have to admit, in his black tie and suit, Aoshi was a school girl’s dream. “And now our new transfer student, Shinomori Misao.” Hayama-sensei said, and Misao walked over to the microphone. “Hello everybody! I’m Makimachi Misao age 16! Nice to meet you!” she said, making her voice a little higher in pitch and smiling. She heard several male students oohing and grinned. She was wearing the Jenius Gakuen school fuku which consisted of a light blue blazer and darker blue miniskirt that fell to just above her knees. Despite not liking skirts, she had to admit, she did look really really cute! Her hair was out of it’s normal braid and placed in two buns on the side of her head. ‘Ahaha! Now where’s my Tamahome?’ she thought giddily, and glanced over at Aoshi, who was looking every bit the disinterested icicle. Misao sighed and sweat dropped. ‘Typical bishounen, full of unjustified angst. Well...maybe his is justified...’ With another sigh she followed the students out of the auditorium, then blinked. “Ummmm.....oh shit, where’s my class?” she murmured. “Excuse me, um, Shinomori-san?” a female voice asked. Misao blinked. “Huh what? You mean me?” she asked. “Shinomori Misao, right?” the young girl asked. She was about Misao’s height with long auburn hair and light blue eyes. “Uh hai!” Misao said quickly, then felt her cheeks redden. ‘Shinomori...Misao...ooooohhh...’ she thought, picturing her and Aoshi getting married. “Hehehehehehehehe.” she giggled, completely forgetting the girl standing next to her. “Umm..Shinomori-san?” the girl asked, furrowing her brows. “Huh? Ah! Sorry bout that! What was it?” she asked. “You just looked lost.” the girl replied with a smile. “Ah well, I am.” she admitted weakly, pulling out her schedule. “Can I take a look?” the girl asked. “Sure...uh...what’s your name?” Misao asked. “Himeko. Aokage Himeko.” “Okay, Aokage-kun.” Himeko glanced at Misao’s schedule then handed it back to her. “You have class with me down the hall. Good old Calculus.” Himeko said with a disgruntled sigh. “Ahhh..the lesbian sister of Chemistry, I freaking hated Calculus in college.” Misao sighed. “Huh? College?” Himeko asked confused. Misao stiffened then laughed nervously. “Uh I mean, I took a college-level type of Calculus!” she quickly replied, scratching the back of her head. “Oh, okay. Yeah, I hate math. I think it’s the tool of the devil.” “Most likely.” Misao said with a smile as they walked in. In her mind she was doing a happy cheer. ‘Alright! I already made a friend! Now all I got to do is make buddy buddy with the right people.’ At lunch time Misao found Himeko with a group of girls and sat with them. “Shinomori-kun! These are my friends Asano Natsumi, Fuyumi Yuki, Harumi Hanako, and Akino Kaede. Guys, this is Shinomori Misao.” Himeko said energetically. Misao smiled. “Nice to meet you all.” “Same here.” the four replied. “Oh man, Shinomori-kun, excuse me for being so forward, but your brother is hot!” Hanako beamed. She was short with pink hair pulled into two ponytails and large light green eyes. Misao placed a false smile of her face. “I..suppose.” “Definately! He’s so cool looking!” Natsumi murmured dreamily. She was tall with shoulder length wavy blonde hair and gold eyes. “I guess.” Misao said, feeling her teeth grit. “He’s so tall and that hair! Guys like that are so rare.” Yuki giggled. She had chin length light blue hair and blue eyes. “Yes, they are.” Misao murmured, clenched a fist. “I bet he looks really good naked.” Kaede murmured from behind her book, thin glassed perched over dark green eyes. She had long brown hair. Misao’s eye twitched. “I..wouldn’t really know.” “Ah! Come on guys, it’s not good talking about her brother like that.” Himeko said, waving a hand. “Actually, he’s my step-brother! See my mother married his father.” Misao said grinning. ‘Yeah, take that Hiko! Never said we had to specifically pose as brother and sister. Ahahahaha! I’m a genius!’ she thought. “Oh?! Is it weird having such an old step-sibling? I mean he’s like thirty and you’re sixteen.” Yuki said suddenly. Misao plastered another fake smile on her face. “Oh no not at all. Aoshi-sa..Aoshi-nii-sama and I have a..very good relationship.” ************ ‘Damn you bitches! Stay away from my Aoshi-sama!!!!!!!’ her thoughts screamed as she watched all the girls in gym class fawn over him. She noticed his gaze shift in her direction and suddenly she felt self-conscious standing there in bloomers and a t-shirt. Today they were doing volley ball in gym class and Misao was happy about that. Of the few sports she liked, volley ball was one of her favorites. She heard the sharp shrill of the gym whistle and stiffened slightly, having annoying police training flashbacks. Rubbing her ears she walked towards Aoshi and sat on the mat with the rest of the students. Dressed in black jogging pants and a t-shirt, Misao almost had to wipe the drool from her mouth. It really was unfair how good Aoshi looked. Especially with the denizen of young schoolgirls sharing the same sentiment. “Today we’re playing volleyball. Please split up into two teams and we can begin.” Aoshi said, holding a volleyball. Everyone stood up and as they talked to pick teams, Misao made her way to Aoshi’s side. “Wow, very good teaching skills Onii-sama!” she said. Aoshi shot her a look, hating that she was mocking him by calling him that. ‘One day I’m going to get of rid Hiko’s alcohol stash.’ he thought darkly, imagining the pain it would cause his sadistic superior. “Not now Misao.” he murmured harshly, shoving the ball into her arms. “Oh? Touchy are we? Must be so hard having all these girls dreaming of you.” she muttered. ‘Oh and I suppose you’re completely unaware that all the boys in class have been staring at you?’ he thought. “Shinomori-kun! Be on our team!” Misao turned to the group of girls and smiled. “Okay!” She ran towards them and Aoshi attempted to not glance at her. But those bloomers...so....short. What was wrong with him? Wasn’t in just two months ago he had forsaken everything for revenge? Since then he meditated, worked, rarely spoke to anyone. Except Misao and occasionally Hiko. Particularly Misao, who seemed hell bent on getting him to open up more. Now here he was trying to hide the fact he had check her out. And mentally was cursing the inventor of bloomers to Hell. Misao in the mean time was thinking she’d like nothing more than to pull out the hair of every girl giving her Aoshi-sama their attentions. So pre-occupied in her thoughts she almost was hit in the face with the volleyball, but luckily reacted in enough time to spike it back. “Good shot Shinomori-kun!!!” a team mate cheered. Misao grinned. “Oh I could get used to being called that...” she murmured. Stopping by the water fountain, Misao took a drink, wiping her mouth as she stood up, feeling the familiar presence behind her. “Yes, Aoshi-sama?” she asked, turning around to face him. “Follow me.” he said flatly, as he led her to of all places, a storage closet. “So what are we doing in here?” she asked, jumping to sit on a stack of boxes. “I wanted to ask if you learned anything.” “Oh? Well, I think I’ve made progress. Take a look.” she said, tossing him a piece of paper. He glanced it over, then looked at her arching an eyebrow. “Detention for classroom misconduct. What did you do?” Misao grinned. “Oh, well when my Chemistry teacher asked us to pick partners I declined.” “How so?” he asked, sensing that the next words out of her mouth were most likely going to give him an eye twitch. “I just said, and I quote: that I didn’t feel like working with girls who only talked about how much they want fuck my step-brother.” Yep, twitch away. “Look, we’re looking for shady kids and where better to find them than detention! It’s simple deduction. Didn’t you ever notice this in high school?” she asked. “And so you chose that method?” Misao felt her face redden. “I just...hate hearing these girls talk about you like that. It pisses me off.” she muttered, then jumped off the boxes and headed for the door. “I see.” he murmured, then leaned over her to open the door. “I don’t think you need to be jealous.” he murmured softly as he opened the door. Misao scurried out of the storage room blushing. ******************************* Cracking her knuckles, Misao leaned back in her chair as she glanced at her fellow detention captives. Three boys and two girls. “Hey Nishikado, who’s on detention duty today?” one of the boys with curly brown hair asked. “I think it’s Sakuma-sensei.” the boy with black hair and light blue eyes replied from behind his magazine. “That guy? Doesn’t he talk to a stuffed pink bunny?” the boy with curly hair, Tsukasa, asked. “Yep.” the boy with shoulder length light brown hair replied. His name was Akira. “Ah! Ryuu-kun’s a cutie!” one of the girls with short black hair said with a grin. “Definitely! I can’t believe he’s thirty-two! He looks like he’s our age sometimes!” the other one with long blonde hair agreed. “Oh good lord, we just had to get stuck with Emi and Yuri today.” Tsukasa murmured annoyed. “And the new chick, Shinomori. Hey, is it really true you told your teacher you wouldn’t pair up cuz all the girls wanna do your brother?” Nishikado asked. Misao paused from rocking back and forth in her chair and grinned. “Well that’s the polite way of putting it.” she murmured. “Hey! Your brother’s the new gym teacher?! Yeah he’s cute and all, but he’s got a pretty cold personality. Not like our Ryuu-kun!!!” Emi said. Misao shot them a glare as she slammed her chair legs down. “Would everyone please stop obsessing with my Aoshi-sama!” she growled, her fingers gripping the desk so hard the wood began to crack. Emi and Yuri gulped and closed their mouths. “Oh wow! They shut up! Hey Shinomori, marry me!” Akira teased. She rolled her eyes and started to rock in her chair again. “Sorry there pal, I got my eyes set on someone else.” she murmured sweetly. “Oh? And who is that, imouto?” Misao nearly fell out of her chair at the sound of Aoshi’s voice. “EEEEEEH?! Where’s Ryuu-kun?!” Emi and Yuri squealed. “Sakuma-sensei and I switched. I’ll be monitoring detention today. “ Aoshi murmured, seating himself behind his desk. “WHAT?! So we got detention for nothing!” Yuri whined. Misao chuckled. She saw Aoshi glare at her and scowled. ‘Damnit Aoshi-sama, now you really ARE treating me like I’m a kid.’ she thought annoyed as she reached into her backpack and pulled out her mp3 player and popped it on. Nureta hitomi no oku aoi tsuki wa shizuka ni kobore ochite yuku ::deep inside eyes overflowing with tears the blue moon silently falls to pieces..:: azayaka na sekai wa oto mo naku shizuka ni yami ni kiete yuku byou yomi no naka kake meguru yami no naka o soshite arata naru toki o makae ima ::without a sound the brilliant world vanishes in darkness:: ::running around in the dark during the countdown:: ::a new time will arrive now:: Kizutsuita kuroi tsubasa tsuki no akari ni terasarete utsukushiku maiagare ::injured black wings glimmer beautifully:: ::as they soar in the light of the moon:: Misao tapped her fingers on the desk to the beat, oblivious that the people in the room were staring at her until a shadow fell over her. She removed the head phones from her ears and looked up at Aoshi, a stick of pocky hanging out of her mouth. “Please step outside with me a moment.” He murmured. “Whatever you say, Aoshi-nii-sama.” she murmured, standing up and following him out. The three boys watched the two leave. “What do you think guys?” Tsukasa asked. “I like her. She’s got balls for a girl.” Nishikado murmured. “Just what we’re looking for.” Akira said with a smile. In the hallway Misao leaned against the wall, her arms crossed. Maybe she was acting immature, well she was supposed to be acting immature but that was besides the point. “Misao, don’t you think the way you’re acting is going to draw suspicion. We’re supposed to be siblings.” he murmured quietly. She pouted, her pocky stick drooping. “Well, step-siblings actually.” she muttered. Aoshi sighed, leaning closer to her. He placed his hands on either side of her head. “Misao.” he sighed. He supposed her behavior answered the question of her feelings. Somehow though, they didn’t make him as uncomfortable as he thought they would. He knew she was jealous, and it bothered him that she felt that way. He didn’t like her constantly getting pissed off and feeling bad, especially over someone like him. He was so lost in his thoughts he didn’t notice she had placed the other end of the pocky stick in his mouth. Or that he was nibbling on it. She smiled softly at him and as their lips barely brushed he bit his end off and backed up. Misao sighed and shrugged. “I’ll try to behave, Aoshi-sama.” she murmured, and walked back into the class. Aoshi sighed and loosened his shirt collar a bit. Right in the middle of lecturing her on her misbehavior he ended up almost kissing her. Oh how he wished for his green tea right now. Served by Misao in a school fuku. ‘Woah! Dammit, Shinomori, get a hold of yourself.’ He walked back into the classroom and sat at his desk, and proceeded to ignore Misao for the next hour and tried to suppress the urge to send the three boys glancing at her crashing out of the window. Misao noticed everything, her grip on her desk causing it to crack more. ‘What...is...his...PROBLEM?!’ ***** Aoshi walked down the quiet halls of the school, thinking a cup of green tea was just what he needed. It was the third day here and he was making little progress whereas Misao apparently had become rather popular with the male students of Jenius Gakuen much to extreme chagrin. His steps slowed. ‘Am I jealous?’ he wondered, then shook his head shaking off the notion. Suddenly a hand shot out and grabbed his wrist and pulled him into a closet. “What is it Misao?” he asked impatiently. He REALLY wanted some tea. “Well aren’t you grumpy? Maybe this will help.” she murmured holding up a cup of... Was it?! It was! Green tea!!! Inside his mind Aoshi was cheering in joy. He took a sip and sighed in appreciation. “I’m glad you like it because...we have a slight problem.” she said, tapping her index fingers together. “What problem?” he asked. “Well I guess you were right. Everyone thinks that we...” she trailed off. “Yes?” he asked impatiently, sipping his tea. “They think we’re like this...” she began, her voice changing to a soft, lush sound, “Oh, Aoshi-nii-sama, oooooohhhh......” she moaned. He almost broke the cup of tea. Since when did she have THAT kind of voice?! Wait...everyone thought... “How did they get that impression?” he asked. “Apparently they saw us exiting the closet and that I was blushing on top of my poor behavior with the whole girls wanting to do you thing.” “They think we’re...” “Doing it.” she said simply. Aoshi’s face darkened. “Only the students right?” “Huh?” she asked, blinking. “Only the students think that, right?” “Yeah, the teachers here are dumbasses.” she murmured. “Good. I guess we have to use this to our advantage.” he murmured. “I see, I guess if everyone thought I was fucking my step-brother who’s also my teacher it’d throw me in with the type we suspect. I already got most of the boys here to like me. Good thinking, Aoshi-ni...” He clapped a hand over her mouth, moving closer to her. “Stop calling me that.” he growled, and moved her head to expose the skin of her neck. “What are you doing?” she asked, as he pressed closer. “Helping your image.” he murmured, hesitating as his lips hovered over her neck. ‘I already got most of the boys here to like me...’ His eyes narrowed as he remember her words and his hesitation faded. “Aoshi-sama!” she whispered quietly as she felt him bite and nibble her neck. She closed her eyes, fighting the urge to run her hands through his silky hair. She bit her lip, stifling a moan. And just as she was enjoying he stopped and back away. She blinked and rubbing her neck. “That should last for a couple of days.” “Huh?” she asked dumbfounded. Reaching for her compact she opened it and looked at her neck, specifically the red spot on her neck. Slamming her compact closed she looked at him. “And just where did you learn to do that?” she asked, feeling her fist clench. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, having set his tea cup down minutes ago. “High school.” he murmured. “I see. Good to know you’re not a eunuch.” she commented. He glared at her and she shut her mouth. “I should of bit you harder.” “Was that a joke?” she asked, arching an eyebrow. “No.” “Oh...well next time bite harder.” she murmured as she opened the closet door and stepped out, but not before adding, “I’d really enjoy that.” Aoshi stood there for a couple minutes even after she had left. Finally he grabbed the half empty cup of tea and gulped the rest down as he walked into the hallway. “Maybe helping her that way was a bad idea.” he murmured. ‘You enjoyed it, don’t deny it.’ his mind whispered. And for the first time in a long time, he felt his cheeks redden just a bit. He was just glad no one was around to see... “Aoshi-sama! You’re blushing?!” He blinked and turned to see Misao standing next to him. “I wasn’t...” “Liar.” “Didn’t you just leave?” he asked, changing subjects. “Yes and now I’m back.” “Because?” “I need to get into my locker, which you standing in front of.” she said matter-of-factly. Aoshi blinked, and moved out of her way. Opening the locker she pulled out a shiny blue notebook. “Oh yeah, can I crash at your apartment tonight? They’re doing fumigation at my complex.” He nodded. “That’s fine.” “Good, I have some stuff I want to show you anyway.” she said quietly as the hall began to fill with students. Neither Aoshi nor Misao missed the looked they got. “I can’t believe it! She’s so classless! Why would Shinomori-sensei want that girl?” Misao narrowed her eyes and growled, breaking a pencil in her hand in half. “I wouldn’t say that. I have gym with her, she’s got a ton of energy.” Aoshi’s eyes narrowed greatly as he fought the urge to attack. Misao however, had less restraint. “You bastard! Kecho Kick!” she yelled, kicking the boy in the head. She gave everyone around a glare, very much like one of Aoshi’s ‘Don’t Mess Me with Or You Will Be in Pain’ ice glares. “If I hear so much as one more comment about me or him..” she said, indicating Aoshi who was giving his own glare, “This is what’s going to happen.” Everyone sweatdropped. Nishikado, Akira, and Tsukasa watched from the steps. “Yes, she’s most definitely the kind of person we’re looking for.” Tsukasa said with a smile. ***************************** end of Chapter 5 So I obviously switched gears and lightened the mood. This is because I didn’t feel like basically telling out the rest of the Kyoto arc cuz I mean, we ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENS! Okay, obviously Aoshi’s not hiding away and meditating, he’s actually doing work and stuff. And yes, I suppose he is a little OOC. ::shrugs:: Ah well. Okay, the Calculus being the lesbian sister to Chemistry and the unjustified angst bishounen thing were G Girl Moon/Usagi-chan’s brain children. The Misao using that voice and whole description of what the students thought came about by a post on the Aoshi/Misao mailing list saying it would interesting if Misao used ‘that’ voice on Aoshi. The one she uses to lure men to rob them. The moaning description was something I came up with in the car with Usagi-chan. The whole undercover high school thing was just..well..I wanted to get Misao into a school fuku and see how Aoshi would react. Luckily I recalled bloomers after watching the first volume of GTO with my friends last night. The song Misao is listening to on her MP3 player is ‘Eden’ by To Destination, the opening to Yami no Matsuei. Nishikado, Tsukasa, and Akira are obviously tributes to Hana Yori Dango’s Nishikado Soujiro, Mimikasa Akira, and Doumyouji Tsukasa. Himeko, Yuki, Hanako, Akiko, and Hayama are original characters. Sakuma-sensei/Ryuu-kun is basically Sakura Ryuuchi from ‘Gravitation’ Emi and Yuri are loosely based on the Emi and Yuri from Captain Tylor. The pocky scene pt. II was an idea from a review I got for this. As for the closet scene...I just wanted Aoshi to display some jealousy since poor Misao-chan’s been jealous for most of the chapter. As for the hickey...ehehe..I dunno. I’ve been reading ‘Daydreaming of You!’ By dacrayZblaze1. Poor Aoshi’s so horny in that. Ok..off to sleep. Working at 8 am! ::Grumbles:;
