Author’s Notes: Damn, Tang really sucks. My brother’s been drinking all my Coke, the fucking bastard. Anyway.. ************************************** Chapter X: Handcuffs and Hooker Boots Feeling the bright rays of the morning sunlight hit his face, Aoshi slowly opened his eyes. Looking to his side he saw that Misao wasn’t there, yet could still feel her lingering warmth. He heard the sound of water running, indicating Misao was in the shower. He sat up, smiling softly. Last night he had been impulsive, but he regretting none of it. It wasn’t until he saw her then at the club that the full impact of how much he missed her had set in. He knew in that instance that words, the past, arguments...none of it mattered. All he knew was that he wanted her more than anything in his entire life. Sliding out of bed, he walked towards the bathroom. Misao hummed to herself in the shower, a smile on her face. Despite being a little sore, she felt wonderful. She could still feel Aoshi’s hands on her skin, his lips, all of him. Her smile grew. He had proved last night that he was NO ice block after all. Her smile faltered as a disturbing thought crossed her mind. ‘What if Aoshi-sama regrets last night and decides it was a mistake?’ Before she could ponder the notion further, she felt warm arms encircle her waist from behind and felt Aoshi’s lip brush against her cheek. “Good morning, Aoshi-sama.” she murmured, her gaze casting downward. Aoshi tensed at her tone, and wondered what was wrong. Misao turned to face him, her eyes seeming to shine as she looked up into his face. “Aoshi-sama, tell me, please. Do you regret what happened last night? You’re not going to say it was a mistake?” she asked, her voice wavering. Aoshi stared down at her, taking the sight of her in. Her eyes were shimmering like the bluest ocean, full of so many emotions as the water from the shower caused beads of water to form all over her skin, making her glow. She looked so fragile at the moment. He closed his eyes, taking a breath. “No.” he murmured, one simple word carrying so much weight. Before she could reply he captured her lips into a searing kiss, wrapping his arms around her once more. She moaned into his kiss as he pressed her against the shower wall, lifting her slightly as she wrapped her legs around his waist as he thrust into her, causing her to arch her back slightly. “Ohhhh...Aoshi...” He lifted his gaze to meet hers, his eyes full of passion. “Say it again, my name without the honorific.” he whispered, presses kisses into the side of her neck and shoulder. “Aoshi...Aoshi....” she moaned breathlessly, rocking her hips against his as she ran her fingers through his wet hair. Aoshi felt his control slipping, his desire for her was so much it almost scared him. Hearing her gasps and moans only increased to arouse him more as he placed his hands on the tile on either side of her and moved into her faster. Misao gasped, pressing her face in the crook of his neck as she raised her head to gently nibble on his earlobe, eliciting a moan from Aoshi. “Like that, do you?” she whispered into his ear. He didn’t reply, but rather pressed his lips to hers and slid his tongue into her mouth. “Ao...shi..I..I...I’m.....” she chanted, breaking off their kiss, her breathing become louder and louder. He felt her tremble and changed the tempo of their joining, moving in long, deep strokes. Soon enough he felt her begin to convulse around him and bit his lip as he struggled to maintain control, he wouldn’t find release until she had. “Ahhhh....AHHHHH AOSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!” she screamed, feeling the wave of pleasure crash over her. And then his control snapped as he was sent over the edge. “Misao.....” he groaned out against her neck. She unwrapped her legs from around his waist as he gently set her to her feet, and felt her slump against him. “Now that’s a way to wake up.” she murmured with a grin. *********************************** “I’ll have a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese, peanut butter, and strawberry jelly, a medium vanilla chai, large green tea, and a piece of dry toast.” Misao said to the coffee stand vendor, stealing at Aoshi who stood next to her. He was wearing jeans and a long sleeved shirt, and Misao mentally giggled at how strange it was to see Aoshi dressed so casually. She was wearing a pair of Aoshi’s black sweat pants and his old police academy sweatshirt, and briefly wondered if she could keep the ultra comfy outfit. ‘Man, could life be any better? Got my bagel, got my chai, got my Aoshi-sama....life is GOOD!!!!’ “What are you thinking about?” Aoshi murmured as they walked down the street. Misao arched an eyebrow at him and smirked. “What are YOU think about, Aoshi?” she mumured in return, tracing her fingers down his spine. It was odd not adding the ‘sama’ part, but it felt....good. The sharp ringing of Misao’s phone got her attention, and she reached into the sweatshirt pocket. “Hello? Yo Chief, what’s up?..Eheh.....uh huh.....Geez....yeah....Huh ME?! Ah..I..I guess. ...yeah probably not a good idea either. Okay, I’ll be there ASAP. Later.” Putting her phone away she sighed. “I got to go the station, Hiko needs my help with something.” Misao said. “Should I accompany you as well?” Aoshi asked, getting the feeling there was more going on than she was letting on. “No no! You just go..do whatever you were planning on doing today.” she said, waving her hand in shoo-ing motions. “Aa.” he replied. ‘That’ll be hard you were what I was planning to do today.’ he thought. It had been a while since his perverted id had spoken. Misao smiled and gave him a quick peck on the lips, and ran off. Aoshi watched her go, feeling his lips tingle where she had kissed him. Was this happiness? This warmth that only she made possible. At first he thought it to be simply desire, but it was always so much more with Misao. He wasn’t sure what would happen next and where they were going, but for the first time Aoshi’s wasn’t thinking ahead. His eyebrows furrowed momentarily, recalling her conversation with Hiko. Just what was that lush up to? ******************************* “I can’t believe the things I do for this job.” Misao muttered, as she sat next to Hiko in an interrogation room. The body of a prostitute had been found in the alley of the part of town where Americans and Europeans resided, stabbed the death. The woman they were questioning was a German exchange student who had found the body earlier in the morning. “Makimachi, this girl speaks about four words of Japanese. We’re going to get nowhere fast without a translator.” Hiko sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. Misao arched an eyebrow and faced the witness, clearing her throat. “Miss, can you please tell me exactly how you came upon the body and anything you think might help us?” Misao asked, speaking in German. Hiko glanced at Misao in mild surprise. “I was jogging and I was catching my breath when I saw some blood. I walked into the alley and found the girl propped against the wall. She was...she was...all cut up!!” the woman sobbed in German, rubbing her eyes. “It’s all right, Miss. Please try to calm down.” Misao murmured softly. It was obvious the young brunette was distraught, and so Misao continued her questioning as gently as possibly, leaving Hiko to wonder what the heck they were saying. Half an hour lady the woman left, and Misao jotted down some notes. “I didn’t know you spoke German, Makimachi.” Hiko said, taking a sip of ‘coffee’. Misao grinned and held out a thumbs up. “German, English, and Chinese!” she said proudly. “Well that’s handy since your current undercover role means you’ll need to know English.” Misao groaned and shook her head. “Are you SURE I have to do that?” Hiko nodded. “I guess I could look in my closet for something, but seriously, if Aoshi finds out he’s going to kick the crap out of something.” “Probably, so don’t let him find out...Aoshi, huh?” Hiko asked arching an eyebrow, causing Misao to blush. “Eh..I should go to work now!” she croaked out, scurrying off towards her desk. Hiko shook his head. “Looks like someone finally defrosted the Ice Block.” he murmured before finishing his cup. He looked at it, his expression softening in sorrow. ‘Such a beautiful flavor. Surely in all my days I shall never forget you.’ he thought, a fist clenched. ‘Hiko-sama, would you care to get a drink after your shift?” Okon asked, appearing in the doorway. Hiko blinked and looked at her. She had worked a graveyard shift, which was now ending. “Sounds good to me.” he said, nodding. ‘Hooray hooray more liquor!!!’ he mentally cheered, while keeping a stern facade. “Excellent! I’ll come back here when you get out.” she said and bowed a goodbye. Hiko smiled as he watched her leave. “Hmm, maybe I should take a page from Shinomori.” he murmured to himself. ******************************** Misao grumbled as she looked at her reflection in the cracked, dirty bathroom mirror. A shiny metallic blue tank top, short denim skirt, and tall shiny leather boots were what she now wore. Her blue-black hair was hidden under a sky blue chin length wig. She looked like a hooker. Perfect. Hobbling out of the bathroom due to the three inch heels on her hooker boots, she met the gaze of one of the prostitutes who stood casually against the wall in a red slip of a dress. “So you’re the new girl, eh? Kinda scrawny ain’t ya?” the girl murmured in broken Japanese, taking a drag off her cigarette and blowing the smoke in Misao’s face. Misao guessed she was American, since she didn’t have much of an accent. Misao glared at her, her eyes narrowing. Without a word she continued walking, and as she passed the girl simply hurled a fist to her face. “If you’re going to insult a person, at least get the brains to learn their language first.” Misao muttered in English and continued walking. She never imagined she would ever set foot inside a brothel, let alone pose as an employee, but here she was inside of one run by a half Japanese, half British woman named Dhalia Akachi posing as a hooker. The victim had been a twenty-six year old woman named Kou Machiko, one of the few Japanese women who worked at the brothel, which posed as a nightclub. Right away Misao got the impression that the owner had a preference for employing more Euro prostitutes than Asian ones. Using her language skills, she had told Dhalia she was half Japanese, Half American and that her name was Misa Stone. She had debated on whether to tell Dhalia the truth, but decided against it. In cases like these, anyone could be guilty. Misao just hoped she didn’t end up getting herself in over her head. It was going to look odd not having sex with any customers. ‘Well that’s why you stressed on singing in the lounge, baka.’ she thought to herself as she continued down the dimly lit hallway that had a dull black floor and the walls were painted red and there were red velvet curtains placed along the wall. The general motiff was red velvet and black, and there were many gothic looking mirrors placed randomly around the small building. The brothel was called ‘Technoir’, and tonight Misao would be performing in the lounge. After questioning the young German student two days earlier, Misao had located the brothel and managed to get hired. She also had spent said two days evading Aoshi, which was proving quite hard to do since just thinking about him had her thoughts going from normal to hentai in three seconds flat. ::an~just like me!:: She hoped he didn’t think she was avoiding him because of their newfound (but much needed) intimacy. The last thing she needed was any more problems where Aoshi was concerned. She wasn’t even sure what they were. Were they a couple, like boyfriend and girlfriend? Or was it just a fling? She wasn’t sure she wanted to obsess on it, and preferred to just enjoy it as it was for the moment. “Misa, there you are.” Misao looked to the left to see a tall woman with dyed light brown hair and hazel eyes leaning against the wall. “Did you need me for something, Akachi-san?” Misao asked in English. “Yes, I want you to run a rehearsal before tonight. There are some good clients coming tonight. Hell, you may luck out and get a good customer or two.” Dhalia murmured. Upon meeting, Dhalia had blatantly pointed out Misao was less developed than most of the girls there, but was attractive enough and had a nice voice. ‘And guys do like that school girl appeal.’ she had also remarked. “That’s a good idea, although I’m a little nervous. I mean, didn’t a girl get killed a couple days ago near here?” Misao asked, putting on a worried face. “That’s none of your concern. Just focus on tonight.” Dhalia ordered, a cross expression on her face. Misao just simply nodded and walked on towards the lounge. It was an average sized room with a small bar, a stage, and chairs and tables scattered around the room. It was decorated in black and red velvet and mahogany wood. ‘The best little whorehouse in Kyoto.’ Misao mentally noted as she cracked her knuckles and made her way to the stage. **************************************** Aoshi tapped a pencil impatiently against his desk as he glanced over the same sentence for the fifth time. He looked up briefly over to Misao’s empty chair and frowned. He hadn’t seen much of her in two days, and he wondered what was wrong. She couldn’t possibly be avoiding him again, not after the recent turn of events. She had seemed like she was cloud nine, and then she had been called by Hiko. She had said she was busy helping Hiko with a some minor police work, but he got the feeling there was more to it. No one would tell him exactly what it was, and then there was a new case involving a murdered prostitute in which he couldn’t determine who was investigating it. Something was up, he could feel it. But what? ‘I need some tea.’ he thought, and made his way to the break room. Chatting near the coffee maker were Shiro and Omasu, and Aoshi decided it was time to remind everyone just WHY he was okashira. “Shiro, Omasu. I want to ask you both something and I hope you know to answer truthfully.” Aoshi asked, towering over the two and giving them his best intimidating glare. “Ahh...what is it, Aoshi-san?” Omasu squeaked out. “What exactly is going on with Misao and Hiko?” Shiro and Omasu tensed visibly. “Nothing! Nothing at all Aoshi-san! She’s just doing some work in the field for him.” Omasu said with a false smile. Aoshi’s eyes narrowed more. “I know you are lying, Omasu. I suggest you now tell me the truth.” he bit out, Omasu paled and Shiro stepped in front of her. “Aoshi-san, leave her alone! The chief asked us not to say anything!” Shiro said quickly, then dropped his head as he realized what he had revealed. Aoshi smirked and backed away. “Thank you for that bit of information, Shiro.” Aoshi murmured, then walked out of the room. Omasu and Shiro took deep breaths of relief, only to see Aoshi quickly walk back in and make his way over to the water pot and made a cup of tea quickly. Walking back out he glared at them once more and then headed to Hiko’s office, tea in hand and scowl on his face. The said commissioner who was unaware of the imminent threat sat with his feet perched on his desk as he looked at photos Misao had taken so far of the crime scene and brothel ash he sipped his “coffee”. Suddenly his office door was slammed open, and a very miffed Aoshi stood in the doorway. “Shinomori, I’d appreciate if you’d knock before kicking the door in. What do you want?” Hiko growled. “What is it you have Misao doing that I’m not supposed to know about?” Aoshi demanded, slapping his hands onto Hiko’s desk and glaring. Hiko set the photos and cup down and sighed. “Now if I tell you, that defeats the purpose of me keeping a secret.” Aoshi growled and grabbed Hiko’s cup, threatening to smash in on the floor. “Talk.” Aoshi hissed. Hiko looked at his cup now in danger and felt his bottom lip quiver. “Shinomori, there’s no need to involve an innocent cup of coffee in this.” “Coffee? I highly doubt that. Now tell me what I wish to know.” Hiko gritted his teeth, his eyes never leaving the cup. “Misao has gone undercover to investigate the prostitute murder.” “Undercover as what?” Aoshi asked, already guessing. “She’s gone undercover at a brothel called ‘Technoir’.” “She’s posing as a prostitute?! Why was it I was to be left out of this? I am her partner!” Aoshi demanded. Hiko had to grin at that. “Oh? First time I’ve heard you admit that. This is why I didn’t want you to know. You’d have freaked out.” Aoshi glared and turned to walk away, placing the cup back on Hiko’s desk. “Shinomori, don’t go screwing this up!” Hiko yelled, as he clutched his cup close and absentmindedly patted it. Aoshi simply slammed the door back shut and walked to his desk, grabbed his coat and walked out. No wonder Misao was avoiding him. She knew he’d disagree with it, her posing as a hooker and having men try to be all over her. His hand clenched into a fist, and he walked faster to his car. Slamming the door shut, he gripped the steering wheel tightly. To say Misao was in for it was an understatement. *********************************** Waiting behind the black curtains, Misao took some deep breaths and shook out her hands. She could smell the fumes of cigarettes and hear male voices behind the curtain and felt her stomach lurch. “And now our newest girl will be performing for you lucky gentlemen! Give a big, warm welcome for Misa!” the blonde MC dressed in a skin tight pink dress said. The curtains parted and Misao stepped up to the mike, plastering on a false grin as she made sure not to trip up in her hooker boots. She took a deep breath and grabbed the mike. “Hello gentlemen!” she said in her ‘special’ voice which was received with whistles. The lights dimmed and a spotlight shined on Misao as an energetic beat began to play. What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you? I can hear you What can I do for you? What can I do for you? What can I do for you? I can hear you Never thought that I would wind up by myself it was all my wild imagination but I hear, I am finding myself so lost everyday is a way for me to turn back All the things I see they are different from how I had imagined they would be everything is different now I’m getting dizzy spells It’s real emotion shaking up the world I’ll never give it up I don’t ever want to lose this far, no more that I can do but I am just too wrong and in my heart I can hear you say that I am not alone Misao noticed most of the men in the audience were foreigners, and was glad she had chosen a song in English to start with. She made sure to move her hips provocatively and to make damn sure her wig didn’t fall off. Her eyes scanned the room as she kept on singing when a flash of beige caught her attention. She had to catch her voice from faltering as she noticed the pair of ice blue eyes glaring at her as Aoshi slowly walked closer to the stage. As the first song finished, Misao could sense he was pretty damn mad, being that he had one of the biggest scowls on his face. Another song started and Misao was glad she had chosen it. Sono aoku kooru hitomi kono mune ni dakishimetai nakushita kono yuuki wo omoidashite once again Tooi senaka oikaketa tsukikage ni kakureru ikari ienu kanashimi hitori-jime suru no Kurai mori samayou murasaki no kizu ato yoru ni matataku ryuusei mitsumeteiru ice blue eyes Sono aoku kooru hitomi kono mune ni dakishimetai nakushita kono yuuki wo omoidashite once again Sono kizu no itamu taezu oogoe de naite ii no atataka na namida wa koori tokasu harvest rain watashi materu Aoshi stopped walking, his scowl softening as he listened to the words she sang. Her sea foam blue eyes met his icy ones and he knew she was singing directly to him. He hadn’t recognized her at first since she was wearing wig, but knew her voice. Tsuyosa dake motometeta hito kogasu tsumetasa hokori sute nikushimi de kono toki tomeru no asu negau tatakai yume mamoru senshi yo yami ni nigekomu kokoro tsuremodoshite don’t look back Sono kodoku ikari sakebi watashi ni mo kanjisasete hontou no kono yuuki wo torimodoshite once again Sono kooru hitomi tokashi kono mune de namida nuguite atataka na namida wa koori tokasu harvest rain Watashi matteru watashi matteru As the music died, Misao quickly retreated backstage. She knew without a shadow of a doubt she was in for it. She saw Dhalia walking towards her and tried to put on a fake smile. “How did I do Boss?” she asked. “Pretty good for your first night. I think you’ve made some fans.” Dhalia replied, crossing her arms casually. “Ah, then I’ll be able to make good business tonight.” “Don’t get too carried away. It’s your first night.” Misao nodded and began to walk down into the lounge, and looked around carefully for Aoshi. Hopefully she could run quick enough into one of the rooms and hide. It looked all clear and she briefly wondered where Aoshi was, but decided to just make a run for it, or rather, hobble for it. She was half way across the room when a large, husky man in a business suit stepped in her path, causing her to skid to a halt. “Hello little lady. I loved your performance.” the man drawled, his smile a seedy one as he place a hand on her shoulder and leaned in. Misao glared at his hand, feeling her heart slam in her rib cage. Aoshi would find her at this rate. “Why thank you, but if you’ll excuse me...” “Now what’s your hurry, doll. I think you and I should get more acquainted.” he said, moving his hand to her hip. Suddenly, she the felt the man go still and lurch forward. Misao stepped out of the way quickly as he fell to the ground. Her eyes darted back forward and widened as she saw a VERY VERY pissed off Aoshi standing before her. “A..Aoshi-sama!” she stuttered, trying to back away. He grabbed her by the wrist. “Don’t even think about running, Misao. You won’t get anywhere.” he muttered. She bit her lip as one of the prostitutes walked over to them. “Hey, Misa, what’s going on? Having some trouble?” the girl asked, her eyes roaming over Aoshi lustfully. “No, I’m not.” Misao said quickly. “If she doesn’t float your boat baby, I’ll be happy to entertain you, ooh, and on discount too.” the girl added, winking at Aoshi, who simply glared at her. “I think Misa will do just fine.” Aoshi stated, and dragged Misao out of the lounge. Dhalia walked up to the other girl with a frown. “Reina, who was that guy with Misa?” she asked. “Hmm, not sure. Never seen him here before. He punched out this guy though.” Reina replied, pointing to the man now struggling to stand up. “Is that so?” Dhalia said, her eyes narrowing as she watched Aoshi and Misao walked off towards the rooms. ************************* Misao felt herself thrown into one of the rooms, and saw Aoshi slam the door shut and stalk towards her, his eyes hard. “I’m not sure what I’m more mad about...” he began, stalking around her in a circle. “Aoshi...” “That you agreed to this...or that you lied.” he finished, towering over her. She gulped and looked up at his face. “This is my job Aoshi. What do you want me to do?!” she said, trying to put an edge to her voice. Maybe just maybe she could make him feel guilty for being mad. ‘Yeah, and maybe I’m a Chinese jet pilot.’ she thought sarcastically. “I want you to use your brain!” he yelled, feeling his anger boil over. Seeing that bastard lay a hand on her... “EXCUSE ME?! I am TRYING to do my job and this is the EXACT reason why no one told you anything!!!” she yelled back, her eyes flashing now. He wanted to throttle her, he decided, as he reached out to grab her and pulled her to him. As his hand touched her neck though, he didn’t throttle her, but pulled her face to his and slammed his lips against hers. Misao froze momentarily, but soon wrapped her arms around him as she felt his tongue delve into her mouth, causing her to moan. His anger quickly turned into desire as he picked her up and carried her over to the large bed in the center of the room and laid them down on it. His lips burned a trail of kisses down the side of her neck as she ran her fingers through his hair, and pulled his head roughly up to kiss him on the lips as she felt him mold his body to hers. Suddenly they hear a voice and froze. Misao quickly flipped them over so she was on top and pinned his wrists to the headboard as she reached into his coat pocket and grabbed his handcuffs. “Misao what are you..” Before he could finish she had handcuffed him to the headboard. The door opened suddenly. “Oh Misa? I didn’t know you were using this room!” the blonde girl she had punched out said, a scowl on her face. “Well I am, so get lost.” Misao murmured with a smile as she ran her fingers up and down Aoshi’s clothed chest. Aoshi tensed beneath her and narrowed his eyes at her. He knew from her smirk she was enjoying this. “Whatever. Come on baby, there’s other rooms here.” the blonde girl said to the man looming behind her. As soon as the door shut, Misao sighed in relief. “Misao?” “Yes?” she asked, turning her gaze back to him. “Would you let me out of these now.” Aoshi asked, his eyes narrowing as he flexed his arms to test the strength of the handcuffs. Misao smiled mischievously and traced her fingers up to the collar of his shirt and began unbuttoning it. “I don’t know, Aoshi, I rather like how you are at the moment.” she said as she moved closer to him and began to nibble on the side of his neck, her hands tracing over his chest and moving to his belt. Sitting up again she unbuckled his belt and tossed it aside to the floor. “Misao, you’re on duty and technically so am I.” he groaned, feeling himself growing more aroused from her movements. Misao giggled softly. “Well let’s just say you’re helping me stay undercover. I mean wouldn’t it be odd for a prostitute to not sleep with a client?” She unbuttoned his pants and began to work them off, taking off his shoes in the process. She glanced at him and giggled again. “Boxer briefs today?” she commented, noticing he wore a pair of black boxer briefs that did absolutely nothing to conceal just how much he really enjoyed what she was doing to him. He shot her a look which she ignored as she reached to unzip her tall leather boots, and slid them off. The rest of her clothes followed, leaving her straddled above him completely naked. “And I suppose you’re leaving that wig on?” Aoshi groaned as Misao took it upon herself to rid him of his boxer briefs. “Of course.” she replied, as she traced his arousal with one of her fingers, eliciting a groan from Aoshi. Misao shifted up and began rubbing against his manhood, causing Aoshi to growl with pleasure and Misao to moan. Not wanting to wait any longer, she pushed her hips down, impaling herself on him as she moaned out his name, her eyes closing as she began rocking up and down on him Aoshi closed his eyes and bucked his hips up to meet her thrust for thrust, feeling wave after wave of pleasure run through him. His wrists flexed against the handcuffs, and the metal clanked against the metal of the headboard violently as Misao began moved faster, seeking release. Her fingers curled around his shoulders as she leaned forward and kissed him, and he began to suck and nibble on her lower lip. Misao moaned and propped herself up more, moving faster and faster. “Ah..Misao......” Aoshi moaned, as he felt himself coming closer and closer to release. Misao’s fingers gripped his shoulders more as she began to moan louder and louder, finally going still as she shuddered in release, screaming his name. Aoshi felt her convulse around him and lost it, yelling her name as his wrists pulled so hard at the headboard that the chain on the handcuffs snapped in half, freeing Aoshi’s hands. Wrapping them around her waist tightly, he pulled her to him as she slumped against his chest, both exhausted. After catching her breath, Misao gazed at his face. “Aoshi, are you still pissed at me?” Aoshi sighed, closed his eyes for a moment, and then opened them to stare her softly. “Aa, a little, but I understand your point of view.” “Good.” she replied, snugging against his chest, then lifted her head up and blinked. “I can’t believe you broke the handcuffs.” Aoshi simply ‘hmmed’ and kissed her forehead. “I can’t wait for this assignment to be over. Those boots hurt.” she grumbled. “Aa, me neither. I don’t like the idea of men putting their hands on you.” he said roughly. Misao laughed softly. “I noticed when you punched that guy out. It’s nice not being the jealous one for a change.” “Aa. Do you have any leads on the murder?” he asked, changing topics. “Mmmm... well the weapon was a small knife, like a pocket knife. There were signs of little struggle, which I think means the victim knew her murderer and never saw it coming. I think it’s someone here. I did some digging around. Turns out this isn’t the first time this has happened here. A couple girls have gone missing or were found who are linked to this place.” “Do you have any suspects?” “Well, if my theory about the previous cases is correct, then there’s only a few possible suspects. Only a few here have been here long enough. There’s Reina, Dhalia, and a couple other girls.” “Is there a common thread with the victims?” “Hmm...well...most of the girls who work her are only half Japanese, but the victim was full Japanese as were the others.” “You think it’s possible the murderer has something against Japanese?” “Maybe. So then that really just leaves Dhalia, Reina, and that blonde bitch Yui.” “Misao, be careful.” Aoshi murmured, his fingers caressing her back. Misao nodded and yawned, falling alseep in his arms. Standing outside the door in the shadows a female figure smirked, toying with a Swiss Army Knife. “More blood to adorn my blade.” the figure whispered quietly, laughing quietly. ******************************* THERE! CHAPTER 10 is done!! I’ve been sitting in front of my laptop for HOURS and man is my ass going numb. See, all nice and lemony!! Ok, the Chinese jet pilot thing is a reference to Army of Darkness, my fave movie. And sharp movie buffs will note ‘Technoir’ is the name of the club/bar from ‘The Terminator’, one of the BEST action movie scenes in my opinion. I really want to buy the soundtrack just for ‘Burnin in the Third Degree’, the song that plays after Sarah gets off the phone with the cops and sits back down and the Terminator comes in and is looking for her. Good 80s rock right there. Man, now shin’s got me hooked on Kaikan Phrase songs. Midnight Crow is so good!! Can’t wait for Oro? RuroKen Phrase. And to draw Aoshi in leather. Ok, so songs. The first song Misao sings is ‘Real Emotion’ the English version sung by Koda Kumi from Final Fantasy X2. It’s different from the American released English version sung by Jade from Sweetbox. The second song is ‘Ice Blue Eyes’ which every A/M fan should know about! Here’s the translation: Those blue frozen eyes I wish to embrace in this heart this courage lost remember it once again Chasing after your back from afar hiding in the moonlight’s shadow anger unspeakable sadness keeping them to oneself in the dark forest you wander with purple scars at a falling star gleaming into the night I stare into ice blue eyes those blue frozen eyes I wish to embrace in this heart this courage lost remember it once again The pain of that wound does not cease just cry it out warm tears melt the harvest rain I am waiting I ask only for strength the coldness that burns throw away the pride and hate this time stop it A battle asking for tomorrow I am a fighter defending love to the heart that flees the darkness but turns don’t look back that solitude, anger, scream let me feel them too taking back this this true courage once again melting those blue frozen eyes and wiping off the tears from this heart warm tears melt the harvest rain I am waiting I am waiting
