Unlogical.

It wasn't even a word. Well, not a word in the sense of it being in the dictionary. But he supposed it could still be a word. It had meaning after all.

For Dom at least. There was just something about that word. It was flawed and perfect in all the right places. Just looking at it you could tell there was something off. It just didn't look right, but it wasn't wrong. It just was.

And when you spoke it, it didn't sound right.

Unlogical.

It started out to smooth, like cream running down you skin, seducing you. Then it jerked you, became sharp and jagged. Not wrong, but not right.

Again, it just was.

Unlogical.

It was the only word that Dom could find to describe his relationship with Elijah. Of course there was illogical, same meaning and correct grammar. But it was just to...flawless. And flawless, as appealing as it seemed at first, was something Dom never wanted.

Flawless meant no surprise, no changes and no adventures.

Unlogical was better, left of center enough to be just perfect.

Because Dom, in his opinion, could find no logic to his and Elijah's relationship. He had point A threw point Now, but no lines to connect them. Just a million little points that could be interconnected with any other point.

He figured point A would be the first time he meet Elijah. Sitting there at a oval shaped table, playing with the rings on his fingers and wondering how long it would before the final member of cast would join them so the meeting could start.

He was debating whether or not he had time to run out and order some food when Elijah had run in, rushed quickly to the chair next to Dom's as he apologized for being late. Something about the traffic being all jammy. He turned to Dom, laughing.

He had the most beautiful eyes that Dom had ever seen. It took ever bit of self control in Dom's body not to stare into them forever. He forced his lips into a smile, forced out a laugh and turned back to Peter who had started talking details.

Of course, that may have been point B or C or even X. Maybe it had all started long before that. A glimpse of Elijah as a child in a movie, a magazine cover of him that had caught Dom's attention for even just a minute or maybe the moment he heard that Frodo was going to be played by someone named Elijah Wood.

Then there were the million and half points after that that couldn't possibly be labeled, connected or even understood. They just were.

You know, like unlogical.

Like the time that the cast went out to a local club and how on the way home Elijah, who more than a little to drink, fell asleep with his head in a very sober Dom's lap.

Or how Elijah's arm always ended up around Dom's or vice versa. Touching Elijah, being close to him just felt so right to Dom. Like that was how it was supposed to be all along.

But Dom held on to the fact that after filming completed, he would be on the other side of the world from Elijah and that whatever was building between them would just fade away. Like some tragic, angst filled romance novel that was started but never finished.

Dom spent most of there last days together watching Elijah trying to figure out how to connect all the points and adding in the new ones. Point 5D for example, was the way that Elijah's foot seemed to always brush up against Dom's under the table during there lunch break.

Point 8R was the way that Orlando would look at Dom, nod towards Elijah and wink. Like he knew something about them that they themselves didn't. Annoyed the hell out of Dom.

He didn't like point 8R.

And then there was point 10T, which was the night that Dom realized he was in love with Elijah. A party had been thrown for the cast and crew after the final scene was filmed. Everyone was laughing and cheering, drinking way to much and hugging. Everyone was so happy.

Except Dom. After two bottles of beer, he escaped to the backyard to get away from all the cheering and excitement which singled the end of the experience that he didn't want to let go of.

Elijah was already out there, smoking a cigarette and staring at the sky. Dom stood there watching him for what seemed like hours. Elijah either didn't know he was there or didn't care. It was then that the soothing realization washed over him.

He loved Elijah.

He could never figure out were Point "this made me fall in love with you" was. Not that it mattered. He had always thought that Hollywood spent to much time glorifying "the moment" instead of what came afterwards. Because, obviously, it was what came that really mattered.

Then, after that, there were no more points. Elijah was back in the states and Dom was still in Europe. Other side of the world from each other.

At least until point...point...fuck it, it doesn't really matter. It was the phone call that threw everything up in the air again.

Dom was just getting back from a shopping trip were he bought two new cds (both suggested by Elijah in his last email), a t-shirt and five new rings. He threw the bags onto the table and answered the phone.

"I miss you."

Three words.

Three simple words that were whispered to him from the other side of the world.

"Move here."

Two more. Less poetic then the first, they didn't have the same lyrical flowing ability as a "I miss you."

They were blunt and perfectly flawed.

Two weeks later, Dom's apartment had been packed up and he was on the plane flying to the other side of the world. He had to laugh at himself, giving up everything for this man.

It was completely insane.

Completely unlogical.

Elijah had picked him up at the airport, smile on his face and a jump in his step. Seriously, he was almost skipping. Add that to the list of points.

He helped Dom carry his bags out to his car, put them in the trunk and drove him back to their place.

There were a few problems, flaws in the moving in process. The loft just wasn't the right size for them. To small for all there stuff. There were constant squabbles over what should be left, taken out and put in.

"None of your stuff matches!" Elijah had complained, after Dom had insisted his run-down, over the hill lime green chair be moved in.

"Not everything has to be a perfect match," Dom had stated, realizing the subtext of those words as they slipped over his tongue and out his mouth.

But soon enough things were figured out, problems were solved and the two became the happy roommates.

Except for the fact that Dom was still in love with Elijah, trying to put all the points together well Elijah just added more to Dom's confusion.

They went to games, parties and premieres together. Somewhere along the line, they even started to dress to match.

Unlogical behavior for two friends.

Then the final point occurred. The two of them had decided instead of going out that they should spend Friday night in. Dom had made dinner for them both as Elijah sorted threw their growing movie collection.

After eating, they settled down on the couch and Elijah put in the movie. Some comedy, not that it mattered which movie it was. They sat just a little bit to close to each than friends normally would, and laughed at all the right moments although they were more interested in each other than the movie itself.

Halfway threw, Dom said something, he couldn't even remember what it was, but it had made Elijah laugh.

"I'm glad you're here," Elijah had said then, turning his head to look at Dom. He was never sure what happned next.

One minute they were just looking at each other and then they were kissing. Lips pressed together, arms wrapping around each other pulling them closer to each other. At some point, Elijah ended up on his back with Dom on top of him, the kisses become more passionate which small moans starting to escape from their lips.

At some point they managed to get up, still kissing, and stumble into Dom's bed. Then point "F" happened...three times.

That's when it stopped being Elijah and Dom: best friends and turned into Elijah and Dom: the "are they, aren't they?" couple of hollywood.

Because no one will come out and say anything. They whisper and they talk, and fingers are pointed. But at the end of the day, everyone simply says "they're best friends. Guys can hug, I don't see why you are jumping to conclusions!"

Which is completely unlogical because all those conclusions are right.
