1. The Madam reserves the right to ban any and all individuals from The Mansion who do not adhere to the rules.

a) All guests and residents are expected to follow the rules of this site (these are also located in this section of the message center). Continual disregard for them or interference in their implementation will result in banishment from Midnight Mansion and possibly from the site itself.
b) The Mansion is an ADULT site. Anyone who is under 18 or is claiming to be under 18 will be asked to leave immediately or be banned. Residents and guests of Midnight Mansion are expected to help in enforcing this rule.
c) All rt limits (in regards to phone calls, rt interaction, webcam use, etc.) and rt relationships WILL BE respected. This room is for themed roleplay, not a pick up point for rt interaction. Harassment of any sort will not be tolerated. You will first receive a warning, if it is again brought to the attention of the Madam or her chattel, you will be booted from the room. A repeat offense will get you banned from Midnight Mansion and possibly from the site.

2. Midnight Mansion is a place established for themed roleplay.
|
|
a) If you come from another realm or site, please choose a different name for your character. Being a different place, a different time, and different theme, it is hard to imagine you could time warp your other character to the Mansion. This is also in respect to other rooms. Here at Midnight Mansion, we try to respect everyone, we only ask you strive to do the same. Note: The name Chérie Midnight does not apply. This character name has been around for 8 years. It may even be copyrighted at some point in time, who knows. The point is, from this moment forward (as of 11 SEP 06), please do not come to MM with the same name you have in another time or realm.)
b) Please respect the preferences of the room owner by keeping within any guidelines posted in regards to “house” use.
c) The Mansion is open to any type of discussion or play. If you choose to enter the Mansion, expect to find activity and/or discussion within that you may find distasteful. Unless you have an open mind and a willingness to delve into new things, we suggest you role play elsewhere.
d) This a room for non-consensual themed play set in France during the 17th Century (1600’s). Your posting in this room expresses your consent to engage in the non-consensual, play contained within. You may leave at any time. Since the room is a a non-consensual room, that leaves a myriad of things up in the air. I am confident that we, being adults, know most limits. There is to be no killing, maiming or permanent markings of Mansion slaves, or the personal Chattel of another. It is safe to say, a few of the slaves are pain sluts, thus it seems viable to use them in such a way. That is not to say that other slaves are not used or placed under pain for the pleasure or amusement of a Free, it's simply that it doesn't take a fool to figure out what would be deemed as acceptable and what would not. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hestitate to ask.
e) Guests and Residents of Midnight Mansion may be involved in committed relationships (marriages, courtships, training, or collars). These may or may not be designated in their handles by the inclusion of their partner's name or initials. Those involved in such relationships may not be interested or able to participate in the same kind of activity as those who are not. Please respect these relationships.
f) We do not allow for gender-bending. Meaning: A RT man playing a vt woman, or a RT woman playing a vt man. While we understand this is all roleplay, we believe there are some lines that should not be crossed.
g) Please do not have more than one playing character in the Mansion. Our establishment is set up that you can play any role you wish, be it Dominant, submissive, or both. There isn't any reason why a person should have more than one character here and dualling is frowned upon.
h) Any comments, problems, suggestions or complaints should be addressed either to the Madam or her chattel.

3. Etiquette while on the grounds of the Mansion.

a) Openness being the key here, we ask that you keep all roleplay out in the open. The PM feature is used to keep OOC at a minimum. Please do not abuse the priviledge of PM.
b) Those who use handles that are capitalized should be considered Dominants. It is common for them to be addressed as Sir, Sire, miLord, Master, Monsieur, Lady, miLady, Madame, Mademoiselle, Mistress, Miss. It is also standard practice for submissives and slaves to capitalize pronouns that refer to Dominants, though not required.
c) Those who use handles that are not capitalized should be considered submissives or slaves. They often do not capitalize "I" or other pronouns referring to themselves, again.. this is not a requirement. Slaves belonging to another person, or Dominant, are called Chattel. Only one chattel is permitted per dominant. Chattel are submissive in totality only to their dominant but may be dominant to others within the Mansion. If you have any problems with the chattel of the Madam, Mansion residents or guests, please take your grievance to the appropriate chattel’s owner.
