Trapped Soul
by Isa Akane B.
__________
Kain is asleep. Though I can't see him anymore, I know it. I can still feel
him, feel the warmth of his hand and the possessive grip of his claws on the
Reaver. On me. I don't need to see him to know what he looks like right now,
as he's finally getting some rest. My memories are still alive. I remember his
face as he was lying by my side while I was sharing his bed and his nights,
just like now. His cheeks slightly flushed, though I was the only one to know
that this peculiar tint had this meaning. His face, sated both from blood and
lust. His chest, raising and falling quietly under my cheek as he finally catches
his breath, as I dare using him as a pillow. His claws twined with mine like
any mortal lovers would do. His hair, silvery strands of silk, spread on the
pillow, untied only for me.
It was a long time ago. Why did things have to change so much?
How I long for the feeling of his arms around me, the warmth of his breath
on my skin, the smell of his strong, powerful blood undereath his skin, the
taste of his lips on mine, his fangs gently and playfully scrapping at my neck.
How I long for these wild nights and for the most tender ones.
You've always known what I wanted, as I've always known what you were expecting
from me. Until that fatal moment when you ripped my wings and I felt more hurt
by doubt and incomprehension than by the physical attack itself. I was spiralling
into a flow of memories that I was then questionning, instead of the flow of
the Abyss. Had you always betrayed me? Were all the moments we shared, all the
things you told me simply fake?
There are so many things we'll never do together again. But so many new ones
we are to do in our new union.
All is left to me now is my will to help you save Nosgoth, help you in that
quest you have been following for almost all your life. And that almost selfish
wish that you will free me from that prison when everything's over.
